He Doesn’t Like a Lot of Makeup?

Do you ever notice how clueless men are when it comes to makeup? Here’s one blog post telling the story of the author’s ‘astounded’ reaction when her guy friend commented.

I don’t like it when girls wear a lot of makeup. I like girls who embrace their natural beauty.

Really, I’m amazed at how deluded some men are when it comes to the things that women have to go through on a daily basis: from getting that au naturel look on our face, making sure that we do not have unwanted hairs on our body, seeing to it that our outfits are perfectly style-and-color coordinated.

I bet that for most men, “no makeup” means that you do not look like a Bratz doll! I personally am turned off when a woman has so much makeup caked on her face that her smile actually ‘cracks’.

My point is, men do not actually know what they’re talking about – especially when it comes to make up – so hurray to all the cosmetics products that we use to keep our face “make-up free”!

I guess they do not understand the difference between natural makeup and no makeup. I really hate when men do that!

I find comments like that from men so…toe curling! I’ve rarely attempted to look natural with make-up. When I went for a more au naturel look everyone assumed I’d just foregone make-up that day. But due to allergies I’ve ditched all cosmetics. Now I get the: “I like that you’re wearing less make-up now” from men and some women too. Why don’t they just say: “I like it when the make-up a woman wears isn’t visible to me”?
