Here’s the long and short of it. This black Gucci leather studded halter-neck dress apparently comes in a mini and maxi version.

Tyra Banks wore the maxi length of the dress at a Piaget event in New York recently, where the jewelry company unveiled their new Paris-New York Limelight collection.

Earlier in August, though, “Ugly Betty” actress Becki Newton first wore the same style of the Gucci dress – only in a shorter version.

Tyra paired her maxi dress with a whole lotta bangles and a crimped (ugh!) hairstyle. Becki wore the flirtier version with strappy sandals and a pewter clutch.

So who wore the Gucci dress better? For me, it’s Becki all the way. Tyra does manage to pleasantly fill out the maxi dress because of her luscious curves – but I do think that this Gucci dress is meant to be worn in a flirtier, sexier way – so the mini version that Becki wore is it for me!
