Freedom of speech prevails…even on Myspace


In Indianapolis, Indiana, the Court Of Appeals ruled that a student (referred to as AB in the courts) who was put on a nine-month probation for comments that they made on Myspace was wrongfully punished, as the grounds for her suspension unconstitutionally restricted her freedom of speech. Apparently, the principal of her middle school, Shawn Gobert, discovered that someone had created a fake Myspace about him, and read AB's apparently "obscene" comments about the school's policy on body piercings. ...
