I just subscribed to Pay Per View access starting today, August 8, 2008 (the opening of the much-awaited Beijing 2008 Olympics! Woohoo!) until August 24, 2008 and there’ll be one person I’ll be watching out for (apart from all the hot male Olympians like Michael Phelps, of course!) — forty one year old comebacking Olympian swimmer Dara Torres!

Would you believe this is Dara’s 5th Olympics meet? Talk about certified powerhouse, eh? This 41 year old mother was super amazing during the 100-meter freestyle race at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska. She outdid Natalie Coughlin, who’s 16 years younger, by .05 seconds! I watched that meet on TV and as a former member of our school’s varsity swimming team (ahem, ahem!) I was really impressed! I wish I could be like that someday…be amazing even in my prime! (Now if I could only move my lazy butt off this chair! Hah!)

Watch out for Dara! Cheer for her, too, will ya?
