I will be a black-belt in a couple of months. Some of these things wouldn't work, but surprisingly some of these that you posted here are similar to some of the things that I have been tought in my martial arts classes.
I highly recommend taking a local women's self defense course if you want to be able to effectively protect yourself! Practicing techniques which are proven to be legitimate (not from some internet hacks!) is the only way to truly learn and be safe!
in a real self defense situation. One of the videos, on escaping a two handed wrist grab, was even put out by a comedian- "master ken" is a well known star of many faux-martial arts YouTube videos.
I train in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, an excellent martial art for self defense, and have taken and helped teach various women's self defense courses. I would just like to put out there that many of these techniques/suggestions are WRONG, and would not work
I love martial arts, (I go Thai boxing) and these things are just so amazing! And inspiring β€οΈ ... I know this was probably for helping women getting attacked but.. I LOVED it.
Thanks so much ! Great advice. Also if you use a crutch, a good defence is to take a couple of steps backwards as if afraid. Hold crutch like as if you were going to run and pole jump and lunge forward to hit attacker in belly. Let's hope though that none of us will ever have to use any of these tips.
