@Camille, Yes, there are pros and cons to both renting and buying. It depends on the individual circumstances. Good to hear that you're happy in your home :)

Most days I love owning my own home. I love my home and knowing I am investing in myself rather than paying off someone else's investment is amazing. The not so amazing part is when something break :( you have to fix it yourself or pay someone. A couple months ago I had 2 major breaks in less than a week of each other; my AC went out and my water heater went out, my bank account took a hit.

Too much work both inside and outside and I'm not a gardener. However I want in own a condo in a couple of years.

Ah yes! I love my house, but I really miss renting. I miss just picking up the phone to call the landlord when something goes wrong. I miss having the freedom to move if I want!
