I have heard these before too. They are just clever ways to be rude. If you don't want to talk to someone, excuse yourself and leave them where they stand. Why do we need a course in snappy negativity? I used to be frustrated when I was caught speechless after being insulted or caught off guard. I thought I needed to know a snappy comeback too. But I came to realize that my mind and body's response really protected me. I didn't say anything I would regret! If you really are feeling like you need a guide, a great book called "The Gentle Art of Verbal Self Defence"
Hahaha I love it how you keep saying 'use it on your friends.' I don't think that was good advice :P These are really nice if you are gonna say to your enemy!
I don't think I would use these on any of my friends (except if they decide to be a real b*tch to me), but they are great comebacks that I'd love to use if someone was really mean and disrespectful.
These are fantastic for any jerk stranger who tried to ruin your day. I know I've had them and wished I had something to say instead of staring in shock.
If my friends ever said these things I'd be very mad. They're mean, disrespectful and a real friend would NEVER "pretend" to say you're ugly or stupid. This article should be removed.
I feel like these aren't things you should say to your friend. If you are really bothered by something, just say it. However, I would use these phrases with people I really dislike or even rude strangers. Used correctly, they could be really effective at putting someone in their place.
