Hello lovely women of AllWomenStalk!! :) If this article is still circulating and hopefully people are still commenting(as I don't know how recent these comments are since it won't show me that), could you ladies please help me out with the following and comment your opinions? Thanks!
Okay so firstly, I have yet to have any tattoos but have become more and more increasingly find of them and most definitely want a few now, despite how admittedly scared I am and how much my parents and family will disagree haha.. x3 Anyways! First question is, somewhat unfortunately, the main and only place I've ever really wanted a tattoo before seeing articles like this is my lower back. However, as the article mentions, that is unfortunately known as the "tramp stamp" and from everyone I've talked to including friends having a tattoo there seems to just immediately mark you as trampu, slutty, etc. :/ It is not my intention nor wanting to be any of those but this is just my experience, what do all of you think of lower back tattoos? I saw that some of you have them, but have you experienced overly trouble with it? What do you all think about possibly getting a tattoo there because I like that area of my body, or is it not worth the silly criticism?
Secondly! I'm going to school for performing arts and although I'm aware many many actors have tattoos of all sizes, does anyone know if having tattoos whether large or small possibly decrease your chance of receiving roles, at auditions, etc? Any help and advice is much appreciated, and you can also reach me on Pinterest @SunlitStarlet! Sorry for the crazy long comment, but thank you in advance!! :)
Add commentgreat article ... I actually have 6 tattoos... all hidden... 2 on each side of my rib cage, On one side I have a Celtic cross that I drew and below it I have the Phrase I wear God's Armor'' and Ephesians 6:10-17 in Gaelic. on the other side of my ribcage I have 3 butterfly each one representing something different and below it In Arabic I have Jeremiah 29:11 .... On my hip bone ( that to me was the most painful) I have a tribal heart and another script in Arabic... All of mine are hidden and are in different languages but my next one may be my first visible one and in Latin... but Im torn between my wrist or my shoulder blade....
I have visible tattoos.. One on my left ear, another on my hand and it goes to my forearm and my other one is on my ring finger which all my tatts are henna inspired.. I recently interned at a doctors office and the lead doctor hated tattoos and wouldn't accept interns with visible tattoos.. He actually liked me working by his side..I felt very privileged, and felt like I changed the stereotype of the doctor who saw tatts as not "workable" in his enviroment.. My boyfriend is also not a big fan of tatts and swore he would never be with anyone tatted but he's with me and were madly in love.. And people are always complimenting me on them.. I'm glad to have my tatts and change people's perceptions because I believe tatts are beautiful and they very expressive:)
I have a cat on my foot, love always written on my inner wrist, feathers on my left ribs, the word loyalty on my right ribs, a celtic 3 leaf clover on my shoulder blade, and a flower on my lower back. Almost one in every spot! haha
I have 4. Two dolphins & a heart on my lower back (was the most painful one). A dolphin on my right ankle (first one--hurt because I didn't know what to expect). A dragonfly on my right foot--surprisingly not painful & my latest one, a dog's footprint inside a heart on my left foot (easiest one yet and my fav!!!). I want one on my wrist, but hubby doesn't like the idea.
I have 4 tattoos- one right above my outer left ankle bone ( an anchor w/ snowflakes above it), one on my right outer calf ( 3 intertwined hibiscus flowers), one on my lower right stomach beside my belly button ( a shooting star with a butterfly riding on the trail), and one on the right side of my back on my shoulder blade ( a fairy standing on a bed of flowers with a dove flying above it) the only one that really hurt was the one on my back, the others were alright. Everyone's pain tolerance is different it also depends on your artist, how many needles they are using and the size/ location of it.
I got my first one on my lower back (painful), then on my wrist (not painful surprisingly) and my last one on the back of my neck (didn't hurt as much as my lower back tattoo).
I do agree though, the rib cage is an awesome place for a tattoo, wish I did my first tattoo there 😐
I have one on my foot (painful), one on the back of my neck (didn't hurt at all) and one on my wrist (didn't hurt either). I want to get one on my hand and one on my shoulder blade but we'll see.
I've got one on my inner wrist, I wanted it in a spot that was private yet not hidden! Also contrary to belief, wasn't painful at all!
The next one will be the base of the neck. :)
Pls excuse earlier message lol..don't know quite how that happened!! I was trying to say I have a tattoo everywhere you've suggested except my rib cage (painful I believe) but that's my next one! 😃
