I love the giver but one thing that would make me love it more would be it was in 1st person point of view because I just hate 3rd person for some reason!!
Ashes by Isla j. Bick is really good book that somehow relates to THG Alex has run away and is hiking through the wilderness with her dead parents’ ashes, about to say goodbye to the life she no longer wants to live. But then the world suddenly changes. An electromagnetic pulse sweeps through the sky zapping every electronic device and killing the vast majority of adults. For those spared, it’s a question of who can be trusted and who has changed… Everyone still alive has turned – some for the better (those who acquired a superhuman sense) while others for the worse (those who acquired a taste for human flesh). Desperate to find out what happened and to avoid the zombies that are on the hunt, Alex meets up with Tom – an Army veteran who escaped one war only to find something worse at home – and Ellie, a young girl whose grandfather was killed by the electromagnetic pulse. This improvised family will have to use every ounce of courage they have just to find food, shelter, while fighting off the ‘Changed’ and those desperate to stay alive. A tense and involving adventure with shocks and sudden plot twists that will keep teen and adult readers gripped.
I love this because I am such a huge fan of THG! I've seen the movie, read the books, and in just can't wait for catching fire. So thank you! :))

Oh! I'll have to check it out! What's it about?
Carolyn
Wool! It was originally self-published as a series of e-books. There are no words for how good the series is. Check it out now because it's going to be headed to Hollywood.
Mortal instruments was def a good book series :) also a good series is um think it's like "study series" the books r poison study, fire study and magic study. Good series based on a fantasy world with kingdoms magic etc
The Divergent books have been amazing. I'm going to have to read all of these other books tho because they sound really good !

Hi Alice! I have to say, I am a huge, huge Hunger Games fan -- but I was the same way as you. I wasn't sure if I actually would like it. The writing is beautiful and the description is amazing. Give it a try, you'll love it!
Heather
Aww! Why was the main character annoying?
Heather
Hi Carly! Thanks for the addition! I'll have to check out that series, I'm looking for a series now!
Heather
That's so great! Who's it by? I'll definitely have to take a look!
I have read the Divergent series, Matched series, and I'm currently reading Specials (3rd Uglies book), all of which I love. However, I refuse to read the Hunger Games, without any logical reason to do so.
Starters by Lissa Price (pretty sure that that's her name) is a lot better than any of the other books, in my opinion at least. I recommend it to everyone.
