Hmmm Moattar,
I guess I could try that. Does the lime juice in it burn though??
Sheila
Ouch Moattar,
Sorry about that! I never seemed to have a problem like that. Maybe your skin is sensitive?
Moattar
yes Sheila..ryte!! the toothpaste really worked..but it left a mark on my face..but now it's okay!! =)
Moattar
hey guys...i wanna share one more remedy for acne with u!! & it really works..infact it gives a really smooth look to ur skin.. my Mom told me to do this when i was fed up with my acne problm..& it really worked!! it was CUCUMBER, yes! the paste of cucumber with 2-3 sppons of lemon juice...i applied it daily on my face for 2-3 weeks..and no doubt it gave my skin a younger, healthy n smooth look..!! jux try it out!! =)
Sheila
Hey Moattar,
From my personal experience, most blemishes just fade away with time. Yes, sometimes it takes longer but they do. I have also tried products with benzoyl peroxide and they do work to an extent but they also cause your skin to dry out so I wouldn't recommend it if your skin is overtly sensitive. Rubbing a piece of lemon on your face is supposed to help but remember, it will sting and again, I wouldn't recommend it if your skin is sensitive. What worked best for me was chemical peeling but yes, that would require paying a visit to the dermatologist.
Hope I was of some help :)
Moattar
hey can u plz tell me how to get rid of the acne blemishes??? these are giving my face a horrible look... i m in dumps bcz of this problm..tell me plz how to get smooth skin/????
Sheila
Hey September,
Hmmm never thought about the eye drops. Gotta give it a shot!
September
I knew about toothpaste but not all the others. Eye-drops! Palm-to-face :P That seems like a no-brainer after you mentioned it. I will have to try that on bug bites n such too :) Thanks!
Sheila
Hey theo,
The toothpaste works for me. I guess it depends upon the skin-type along with the type of toothpaste you use!
Theo
toothpaste is no good - will dry up your skin. but the rest are brilliant! I like the oatmeal idea - will try it
Sheila
Hey Moattar,
Is your skin sensitive? If not, I think you should be fine. Just apply a very small amount and leave it on. If it burns too much, wash it off. If your skin is sensitive, I wouldn't bother. Toothpaste is kind of strong. Try the other remedies! :)
Moattar
m scared if toothpaste ruined my skin..then??
Xannyyy
Suburbangrandma,
Thanks love, same here. You're all part of my life as we speak and share views every day. I try to find some time every day to do what I love. Women's Talk is one of them :D
Surly keeping up to date with staff and having a lot of friends would help :)
I'm sorry about the Alzheimer, try to keep always positive and take care of your self :)
Sheila
Hi Xannyyy,
You really should do something baout it hun. Don't let such amazing talent go to waste. Maybe sometime in the future....
suburbangrandma
Xannyyy, you are a sweetheart...and all the rest of you as well...you all sound so sweet and helpful. I love reading all your posts.
If I didn't have to work, I would be such a cyberspace junkie.....lol
Between reading your posts, and posting my own stuff, I really spend lots of time in here, but it keeps me young, and hopefully slows down Alzheimer....lol
Love you ALL!!!!!
Xannyyy
Suburbangrandma,
Thanks love…
I think you're a hell pretty grandma ;)
Not to forget you have an amazing character. Not all grandmas interest them selves in younger generation staff!
Xannyyy
Sheila,
Yeah I have a natural flair for these things. I always used to watch programs of make up artists doing make up. And I love experimenting with those things. I always get asked by my friends to do the work for them on Saturday nights!
I also love Hairdressing which I always straighten my own!
I guess it's such a shame I don't take a diploma course and start practicing on my own. Guess with my own work and personal life I really don’t have time and for the moment no money to spare.

Wow...I love home remedies!!!
I will keep these in mind for a time of desperate need!!
Thank you ladies.
I love learning new stuff from the younger generation.
You guys are great!!!!
Sheila
Clever clever girl Xannyy! :D Don't you just love makeup! I'm not very good at applying it though. You on the other hand are pure genius :)
Xannyyy
Sheila,
Well mostly thanks to my make up cause they're covered all the time!
And I take pics when there aren't many of them :P
Thanks the same love :D
Sheila
Xannyyy,
You're welcome sweetheart though from the looks of your pictures, you seem to have great skin! :)
Tavia
I've knew something about the toothpaste but I never tried this remedy....next time I will be sure to remember it. Sheila I have to admit I would have never thought about garlic :)
Xannyyy
So garlic is in my remedy list too.
Thanks Sheila :)
Sheila
Suburbangrandma,
Toothpaste does work. The white kinds not the gel. Also garlic because of its anti bacterial property. It stings and smells and you've gotta apply it a couple of times a day but the pimple disappears without a mark!
Sheila
Xannnyyy,
Lemon also works great for blemishes left behind by pimples. It stings but it works!
Toothpaste? Who would have thunk? Haha. I will definitely be trying that next time.
Xannyyy
Wowwwww!
Thanks alot Kati.. I'm going to try these to see how they work!
Some pimples really have no respect.. They always appear when I have really something important to go out to! Grrrrrr!! Loll.
I actually recomment to squeez some lemmon and with a cotton dip on your pimple!

The toothpaste trick really works. I've tried it many times in the past.
suburbangrandma
These home remedies sound great. Did anyone try them before and confirms that they actually work?
