Ambrosia is a brand of pouring cream in the UK. I personally hate made up names. What's wrong with normal names? Do you want your kids to get bullied in school?
I'm called Noelia, my brothers Tavis and Svajus, and my mother Jovita, and especially Svajus and Tavis are the only guys with that name in Germany. I looked it up.
Just to point out that #20 is not a french name. French, yes, but not a name. It's a brand name for a store chain specialized in frozen products, it's an obvious nostalgia inducing reminder of Star Trek, and also what you call a person from Picardie, a region of France, known for enjoying its liquor at 4 in the afternoon (total cliché, but still going strong, and great material for jokes). But chances are you will never meet a french boy named Picard unless his parents hated him from the beginning. Other than that some of the names are really cute.
I didn't expect to see a Bulgarian name ;) My husband's surname comes from Valk (wolf). Valko is an archaic name here, none uses it anymore. My son's name is Valentin and we call him Valko for short:)
@taj, Emrys does not mean Merlin and it is not from an old religion, it is Welsh and means Immortal. You naming your baby that with the belief that it meant Merlin only shows that you're a victim of television.
In primary school (elementary school for all you Americans) I knew a girl called Ainsley and the school I went to was called Ainslie primary school (named after the suburb).
PleAse! I beg you not to name your twins abra and Abraham it's not 'cute' twins aren't some cute accessory to be given matching names, they're people and they won't thank you when they grow up! You should name twins exactly the same as you would any siblings, and anyone who names their twins matching names should be shot
My oldest daughter's name is Alora Nicolette -- we called her Nico forever-- she is now 23 and I still ;dont hear her name too often -- My twins are 10 their names are Marissa Rayne and Serafin Grace ---My husband names marissa where I named Serafin -- I love uncommon names :)

@Kynnan Mullins, same with my husband...he was named after someone his parents knew, but other than that he's never heard of another Severn. He's gotten to where he doesn't bother correcting people if he's not going to see them often.
I may have mentioned it, but my husband's name is Severn. Mine is Shannon, and I've met several men with that name. They were all pretty cute, too. :) I love the name Siobahn (shiv-on), but I know no one would spell or pronounce it right. I also love the name Haley, but we've already used that one on our cat. Our cats are the only kids we have.
I love the name Sophia and growing up always wanted to call my future daughter Sophia my partner however has said no because he thinks it's too commonly used :(
@Bluebird. Thank you for saying what I wanted to say. And you did it eloquently. I bet all your children have/will have beautiful, well thought out names that they won't struggle with for all their lives.
My hubby (Jason) and I really don't like our common name so when we had children we were determined to have something different. Our son is Fane Kaidan and our daughter is Corday Talia. They love their unusual names and have often been told they are 'cool' !
@heyabasu, just curious- in what language (or religion?) does heya mean "heart"? I've studied a lot of name origins and variants and also naming practices around the world and have never seen Heya before. Do you happen to know what language it comes from?
Majority of those names are hideous! The suggestion that Britton is the same as Brighton made me laugh hysterically and the added bonus of it apparently being a small fishing village made me weep!
my sons name is Tajun (like Cajun with a T) . I never wanted him to be. John, Matthew or a David etc etc. He will either love me or hate me when he is older ! a David
My daughters name is "Venna" pronounced like vin# from a car and so vin-nuh. It's beautiful and so uncommon. It was my great grandmothers name. It also means innocence and butterflies. :-)
My oldest daughter is named Alethea (Uh-lee-thee-uh) Rose. Alethea is the Greek goddess of Truth and Verity and Rose is a family name. My youngest is Saoirse (Sair-sha) Aurelia. With strong Irish roots on my hubby's side, Saoirse derives from Ireland meaning freedom (has some political stuff behind it too), and Aurelia was my late grandmother's name who raised me a majority of my life.
Oh, and I just found out that there is an actress named Saoirse Ronin, BUT I did NOT name my little one after her.
The only pretty name on here is Isadora. Plus the writer really needs to do a bit of research before suggesting 'Brighton' as an 'alternative spelling' of Britton, as it's pronounced Bright-on, and to describe it as a small fishing village is like us calling New York 'a bustling town'
