I know what you mean. I’m agenst that too. I wouldn’t wear poor little furry creatures for my own selfish comfort. I only wear fake fur, if I were a furry little animal i sure wouldn’t want to be skined because someone wants to wear me as an outfit. I’m with you!

Fur is tacky, and it’s absolutely revolting that people still promote the wearing of fur when we are long past the days of the necessity of fur. I don’t believe it is fashionable to kill an animal for a minor material pleasure.

you should for sure go with your own style. i am a fashion deisnger for boston, and all of the clothes i create are things I would wear, not necessarily things everyday people would wear. fashion is an expression, so where what you want, someone else somewhere thinks what you’re wearing is totally rad, and chances are, someone is designing something just like it, and you will see it on the runway soon enough!!!

hmph, I am muslim and I live in the US and ahve enjoyed being ablie to wear american clothes occasionally because they weren’t form fitting. if accentuated waists com back in I will be bck to spend 10 hours to find a suitable top at the mall instead of the usual 4….c’est la vie.

Hey Sophie–

in response to your question, if I were you I would go with what I feel comfortable in. Fashion is meant to be fun, an expression of your own style. Sure, you could follow trends, but doing that should be done lightly– know what I mean? Like maybe an accessory or two. But when it comes to following trends, you should always keep in mind your own personal feelings– “is it me?” and judge your clothes based on that. If the answer comes back as a ‘no’ then I say don’t do it! Hope this helps you. :-)
