Over at Diary of a Playgroup Dropout, Beth has inspired me, among others, to reach out and do something good for a child each month.
I’ve adopted my kid’s pre-school class, as well as his sister class down the hall. Each time the school does something special (last week it was the Reptile Man and his snake BananaBoy), I send along extra money to be sure at least one other child in the class can do it, because I know some of the kids are living hard times. I don’t want the kids to know whose mama is doing this, and I don’t want to know which kid can’t afford to do the special things. i just don’t want a three year old to feel left out.
What can you do to brighten the life of a child?
charity, ethics, helping kids, kindness, motherhood, Mothering, playgroup dropout
