Being the big David Cook fan that I am, I am so happy to hear that this talented singer’s career seems to be starting out on the right track. After sweeping off the American Idol stage in a ‘knockout’ battle with 17-year old cutie David Archuleta - he is now dating a fellow American Idol alum - and releasing a single which is on top of the iTunes’ Store Top 10.
I remember an AI episode where host Ryan Seacrest had David C. answer a question from a fan whether he’s still single - and he is! But the scruffy-faced rocker just revealed in the “Live with Regis and Kelly” show that he is dating Kimberly Caldwell, who was a contestant in AI’s second season. Naturally, the two met through the show - and David said that they will “probably hang out again”. If things go well, this AI winner may not be so single anymore.
Today, David’s single “The Time of My Life” is sitting comfortably on top of iTunes Store’s Top Ten Songs. His AI performance of “Dream Big” is on the number 9 spot. I personally love his version of “Always Be My Baby” from the Mariah Carey week. It looks like David is having the ‘time of his life’ after grabbing the AI crown.

He does look like he’s having fun with all the craziness of being an American Idol. He’s dominated the charts and the airwaves. He’s “single-ish” according to him. He’s on TV and magazines almost everywhere. He’s making it big and we should be proud that we helped him get there. :)
He recently admitted that he is dating Kimberly Caldwel. They do look good together. Dave has hit the charts and is making big moves in the industry. He has a long way to go.
David is already releasing his first album, in a matter of 2 weeks after the winning the crown on American Idol. Is it true that this album was made even before he joined American Idol and they had him join the contest to gain publicity?
