The Christian Lacroix Spring 2009 Collection shown at the runways of Paris just recently gives the impression that the designer is trying to make the label more ‘wearable’ to the younger clientele.
NY Fashion describes the Christian Lacroix look as being “unapologetically glamorous, dramatic, and expensive-looking.”
And we can clearly see that in the collection. The signature giant corsages ala-Carrie in Sex and the City, as well as bows were back in full force.
Check out the collection for yourself.

One thing that I noticed from the Christian Lacroix collection and the other Paris runway shows is the difference in the structure of the sleeves. In the case of Lacroix, it came in the frothy and sometimes puffy sleeves of the Edwardiana jackets.
All in all, the collection was a reminder to rabid fans of the label what Christian Lacroix is all about – and I bet that they can’t wait to have these finally wearable, haute couture clothes hit the stores next year.
