Gossip Girl Leighton Meester is quite the fashion maven these days. Not only is she wearing Versace at the Versace Menswear launch at Barneys, she's hanging out with the Donatella. I'm not too keen on the matching white shoes and bag, but I do love cobalt on her. Either way, she looks poised and fabulous.

There's nothing like a little supermodel wattage to up the ante of an ad campaign. Gisele lends her star power to Versace for Spring, appearing in a rainbow of colors and various states of dishabille. Those enviable legs of hers get closeups along with bangles, bags, and Louboutin-like red-soled shoes. Did famed photog Mario Testino catch her being glam? Or is your eye less than pleased?

Whilst shopping in TopShop yesterday, I noticed a pair of shoes that looked very much like shoes that appeared on the runway for Versace's Spring 2008 collection.
They both have a T-Bar design, they both have a platform, they are both peep toes, but the TopShop version are slingbacks.
The Versace shoes are £380, come in a rainbow of colours including gold, blue and green, whereas the TopShop shoes are £65 and come in chocolate and black.

Masculinity was a key theme within Dolce & Gabbana's Fall 2008 collection. This was seen in tailored vests, three-piece suits in tweed and corduroy, and page-boy caps.
Corduroy skirts and pants, as well as plaid shirts and pants gave a country feel.
For a finale, models wore billowing netted tulle skirts with swathes of tweed, silk and knitted wool wrapped over them.
There did not appear to be a specific them to Versace ...

Dontella Versace did not have a runway show for her Atelier collection, instead we have Look Book images to drool over.

Just when I thought the Versace Spring 2008 campaign could not get any better, these pictures appear on the Versace website.
This is some of Gisele Bündchen best work.
Donatella casting of this ad was a masterstroke because I have never really considered buying Versace bags or shoes, but this campaign has ensured that I will be going to check them out.
Those strappy shoes need a place in my closet.

This is the third set of images from the Versace Spring 2008 campaign featuring Gisele Bündchen.
As with the other two there is a colour theme and the accessories have their own single page spread.
In this particular ad we get to see a handbag and shoes versus just the shoes in the previous ads.
As usual Gisele trumps the model on the runway. Gisele just makes these clothes even sexier than Dontella intended.

For awhile every Versace handbag I assumed I’d hate, I loved. Sure, they’re blinged out and loud, but hey, that’s the fun of the House of Versace! The Dome Bag is a huge miss for me. I have always wondered what the big deal was with Grey's Anatomy's actor Patrick Dempsey aka Dr. McDreamy, but having seen him cutting a strikingly modern figure in Versace's spring advertising campaign, I think I am starting to get it.
