OK, so maybe the comparison to Helen of Troy is a bit much, but I've never seen an eye shadow cause a craze like Shiseido The Makeup Hydro-Powder. Longtime readers might recall the original mention of this illustrious shadow on this site; it was way back in December '05 when several of us gathered in a midtown Sephora and snatched up the entire stock of Hydro Powder in Whitelights.

Tuesday was a crazy day; can you tell? I started at Derek Lam in the morning, all the way over in Way West Chelsea (land of old warehouses and lots of wind), then hung out at the Empire Diner with a bunch of photographers for about an hour before heading to Behnaz, another 6 blocks away in Way West Chelsea. Then it was back to the Tents in Bryant Park to see Tom and Orlando again at Doo.Ri. And did ...
I was so excited to get the chance to see Tom Pecheux at work again this season. Tom always creates such gorgeous looks, and the skin - oh, the skin! Nobody does skin like Tom.
For Derek Lam, Tom used Shiseido products to create a look that was "very urban," but still feminine. He used matte cream foundation - Shiseido Dual Balancing Foundation - and as usual, the skin was flawless.
Lower lids were the focus ...
