Bright colors, luscious frocks, and studded clutches drip from the pages of Sonia Rykiel's Spring ads. Butterfly barrettes nest in a bed of curls and a troika of elven models frolic through the park. It's a Sonia Rykiel sunshiney day! I think photographer Serge Leblon created a playground of pretty colors for our eyeballs to feast on â€" do you agree?

The usually stoic Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld let loose (and even cracked a slight smile) in Madison Square Park on Wednesday while he took on his other occupation: photographer.
His current muse, gazelle-like model Raquel Zimmerman, posed and made silly faces while the designer snapped away for what I'm assuming is the next Fendi ad campaign. Of course, he didn't leave home without his fingerless leather gloves, dark shades, and square-toe boots. I'm digging the tweed trench coat ...

I hope I don't sway you too much but â€" I love these ads! An exotic beachy locale, a pretty floral dress, artsy illustrations: What more could you have in mind for a dreamy Spring? Stella McCartney takes us there with her latest ad campaign . . . just watch out for Jaws! I think Amber Valletta looks stunning for the third season in a row as the go-to Stella girl. Do you agree?
P.S. What's up with ...

We can always count on Alexander McQueen to do the unexpected. With his diffusion line McQ's Spring ad campaign, McQueen definitely threw me for a loop . . . so much that I had to share. Rather than depicting the clothes in his collection, the photos focus on a group of all-American cheerleaders, right down to the colors of their uniforms. Supposedly, the collection has sport-based silhouettes, hence the connection; are you buying it?

Even if you love Marc Jacobs, you have to admit that his quirky ads, shot by photographer Juergen Teller, are just asking to be spoofed. That day has come via a website, TheNewEnthusiasm.com. Mr. Teller's Borg + McEnroe refers to the famed photog, as well as two champion tennis players, Björn Borg and John McEnroe.
At this point, no one knows who produced the fake ads featuring two men in tennis gear, but I think it's safe ...

There's nothing like a little supermodel wattage to up the ante of an ad campaign. Gisele lends her star power to Versace for Spring, appearing in a rainbow of colors and various states of dishabille. Those enviable legs of hers get closeups along with bangles, bags, and Louboutin-like red-soled shoes. Did famed photog Mario Testino catch her being glam? Or is your eye less than pleased?

Just a few weeks ago we found out that Christina was going to be voguing for her good friend and jewelry designer Stephen Webster, and the images have surfaced! The whole campaign is influenced by Alfred Hitchcock, and the first two shots are straight out of two Grace Kelly-helmed Hitchcock films: Rear Window and Dial M For Murder. Do you think that Christina gives Grace a run for her money? And how about that bling?

Sex sells. We know it, fashion conglomerates know it. But some companies take that notion a step (or two, or three) too far.
There are provocative ads and then there are provocative ads, like Emanuel Ungaro's super steamy one (left). A handful of advertising campaigns from the '90s and early 2000s will make your jaw drop like they did mine. Still, they make you want to keep staring. I certainly don't live in a bubble, but there's still something mind-boggling ...

In a time when runways are hardly the picture of diversity, it's refreshing to see a well-known brand like Hermes herald a model of color â€" especially a gorgeous South Asian like Lakshmi Menon. The campaign is definitely a taste of something different: zillions of flower petals, brightly painted elephants holding luxurious handbags, and a very large foot trying to fit into a comparatively smaller shoe. I'm digging the label's efforts to try something new â€" are ...

Nina Ricci's Spring/Summer '08 ad campaign can easily be mistaken for Fall/Winter ads. The dark hues and layered clothes hardly scream Spring. Clearly that's what Olivier Theyskens was going for so he chose the ideal models â€" Karlie Kloss and Courtney Smerski â€" to convey the brooding mood. Regardless of the season, Mario Sorrenti's shots are captivating. They draw you in and make you want to dissect every aspect of each photo. But is it me or is Karlie ...

In-your-face, vulgar sexuality is nothing new to advertising (hello, Dolce & Gabbana?), but when a usually demure designer gets in on the raunchy action, it takes you by surprise. The Armani Jeans Spring/Summer '08 ads with Julia Stegner and Evandro Soldati are definitely hot, hot, hot. Maybe they look more-so when compared to the Armani PrivéSpring 2008 couture collection. I'm not usually conservative when it comes to fashion ads, but these may have taken sexy a step too ...
