Giambattista Valli Spring 2009 Offers Metamorphosis

“It’s about a metamorphosis. There’s a big change going on in these times,” said designer Giambattista Valli. No, he’s not talking about the economic crisis (although he might as well have been).

What he’s referring to is the look for his Spring 2009 collection which was shown at the runways of Paris just recently. On the front row are young fashionistas including Emma Watson, Natalie Portman and Caroline Sieber.

Does the line up at the front row seat ‘metamorphose’ to the youngness of Giambattista Valli’s collection?

Emma Watson walked her strappy sandaled feet down the red carpet at the Empire Film Awards 2008 in London yesterday. She went for a softer look with a ready-for-Spring strapless dress but added a harder edge with the wide-strap sandals and bracelet. I kind of like the juxtaposition. What about you?

W Magazine & LACMA Host Inaugural Avant-Garde Gala, LA

Ali Larter looks stunning as always in a white Carolina Herrera Spring 2008 strapless dress with paillettes and embroidery detail on the bodice.

Ginnifer Goodwin would not give a front on pose wearing a black Roberto Cavalli Fall 2007 halter-neck chiffon dress with silver sequined detail.

While I am more of a Chai latte girl, these ladies are making me yearn for a Mochachino. If you looked in my closet the least color you will see is beige or camel or tan �" you get my point. When I feel like going colorless I prefer black or grey. But always one with an open mind about fashion, I may reconsider. Rachel, Sarah and Emma prove a sip of a Mochachino does provide quite a jolt.
