Is black the new brown with this butterfly evening bag?

Unusually for me I find I like the black version of this butterfly evening bag more than the brown. Maybe I’m getting sophisticated in my old age? Whatever the reason, this is a pretty satin bag with sequins and beads and a diamante adorned clasp and is lovely in both black and brown. Both colours are available from Natasia for £35.

This bag is giving me the ooohs, as in *oooh, I like that bag*. Cream embroidered black leather isn’t usually my thing, but, as I said, oooh. One of a large collection of Isabella Fiore bags at Neimann Marcus this ‘Forget me Knot’ tote has antiqued brass hardware with tassels on the handles and costs US$655. Are my oohs worth that much money?
