"10,000 B.C." Premiere, Madrid
Camilla Belle is usually impeccable, but I honestly do not think this Carlos Miele Spring 2008 one-shoulder gown flatters her in any way. I particularly object to the bottom half of the gown.
Swarovski Party, Paris
Rihanna attended this event wearing a sheer dress with a purple underly, accentuated with a jeweled belt.
She completed her look with the same silver Louboutin's she wore to the Brit Awards.
I did not like this Emanuel Ungaro Fall 2007 one-sleeved ...

My discerning eye can't help but admire the fantastic bling the Oscars bring. Some earrings provided much shine to the stars who dared to go bold. Heidi Klum's glamorous red and pink earrings looked like candy. Mama-to-be Cate Blanchett's ethnic-inspired earrings framed her glowing face. Katherine Heigl's cylindrical diamond earrings complemented her Old-Hollywood vibe. Diamonds are a girl's best friend, but which glittering Oscars earrings are most Fab?

Worst Dressed Award
I love Tilda Swinton and her very unique style - which is not to everyone’s tastes - but I just did not like this Lanvin dress.
I hated that one long shoulder. It really did not work for me.
Risk That Failed Award
Julie Christie tried to be edgy, tried not to conform to the norm by choosing a cocktail dress and long pink sheer gloves, but just ended up looking very confused.
Cameron Diaz and Jessica Alba

Ellen Page and Julie Christie

Jennifer Hudson and Daniel Day

Melora Hardin and Diablo Cody

While many chose to let the gowns speak for themselves and go with bare necks on the red carpet, these ladies were rocking knockout necklaces. From Nicole Kidman's dramatic icicle-like layered necklace to Jennifer Gardner's choker, all of these ladies had a little, or a lot, of frosting on their necks.
To see more of these ladies and their knockout necklaces,

I always look forward to seeing what Cate wears on the red carpet, and this time she chose a baby bump friendly deep purple halter gown with emerald and gold jewel detailing. Are you a fan?

Fashion chameleon Cate went for a billowy navy and cranberry cocktail dress, accented with shiny silver accessories. I love the shoes . . . do you love the whole look?

I guess Angelina Jolie is pregnant then.
Speaking of pregnant...look how stunning Cate Blanchett is.
I can't wait to see what she wears tomorrow.
This Oscar de la Renta Pre-Fall 2008 ensemble would not be easy to pull off, because the colour are so strong.
Many would have stayed away from this look, but not Kerry Washington. She looks gorgeous.
Eva Mendes looks happy and healthy in a grey turtle neck sheath dress with a yellow clutch

After creating my first Oscars red carpet wish list I realized: 1) It was really fun, and 2) There are so many amazing gowns out there and Hollywood stylists aren't being pushy enough with their clients. Or are the actresses afraid of overly dramatic frocks and being subject to the red carpet critics? I think Jay Manuel and Debbie Matenopoulos don't know squat about who's wearing what on the red carpet. Don't listen to them, starlets, listen to me, ...

Matrix hair stylist Mark Townsend added gorgeous gold feather hair combs from Chanel’s new Paris-Londres Collection to Cate’s updo for the Modern Masters Award at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.
