It's a few days late for Easter, but I just had to share this cake. I was looking through TeamSugar and came across Bettyesque's Carrot Cake Easter Basket. I loved how she provided the recipe and gave us step-by-step directions on how to make the cake on our own. It's so simple, but looks absolutely divine. I wish I had one of these on my Easter table!

Although you can make an upside down cake with virtually any type of fruit, the most traditional is the pineapple upside down cake. This delicious cake is made by placing a layer of fruit in the bottom of the pan and then covering it with batter. After the cake is baked, the pan is inverted and the sugar and fruit juices combine to make a sweet, caramelized cake topping. This is a classic that every home cook should experience making. ...

If one adorable cake wasn't enough for you today then here's another! I was hunting for cakes on TeamSugar when I came across this adorable Easter Lamb Cake by bluesuze. It's so wonderfully cute and precious. She says that her family makes an Easter Lamb Cake every year. To create her masterpiece she used the Wilton Lamb Cake Pan ($12.99) and I think hers looks even better than theirs!

It would make the most adorable petit-fours and hey, maybe it'll get your little ones (or big ones) to finally eat ...

I like to think I have a pretty open mind when it comes to food and treats. And yet even I have to wonder why on earth someone would want a toilet seat cake. Maybe it would be a good gag for a plumber, but the realness of it is sort of wrong. However it's in big enough demand that there's a company that sells the seat covers for them. What started as a one-time request has apparently turned into ...

Whenever I make a cake, I usually use a bit of parchment paper on the bottom of the pan. This way the cake won't stick to the pan and I'll have nice and even surface to work with. I either cut out a square or circle to fit the bottom of the pan, or I create a parchment-paper sling.
Unfortunately I said usually. To find out what happened,
