A Sunny Day at the Vatican

A Sunny Day at the Vatican

I’m bringing you another photo from my trip to Italy, this one of Saint Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican.

I’m in Tuscany now, and hope to share some additional photos from my week here at a farmhouse.

My First View of Rome

My First View of Rome

Rome has been wonderful so far, and I regret that my time here was so short.  Everywhere you turn there is such a sense of history and wonder.

My first real impression of the city was coming up from the subway (Colosseo stop) and finding this in front of you.  It literally took my breath away!  Seeing it in books and photos cannot do justice to the sense of awe I felt at seeing this piece of the ...

Manhattan Skyline Features Well Known Architecture

The Manhattan skyline is one of the most recognizable in the world.  Whether view from an airplane as you are flying in, from Central Park, the top of the Empire State Building, or from a downtown ferry, the New York architecture is some of the most photographed around.

I was thrilled to find this the other day -House to Home have created this site where you can create your own plans, layouts and colour schemes, even for the garden.
Hours of fun!

If It Weren’t For The Dutch…….

If It Weren’t For The Dutch…….

I think the world would be a much less interesting place if the Dutch didn't exist. I love their quirky sense of humour and irreverence.
The Skull contains a spa and jacuzzi - imagine looking out of your window to that in the garden. The silver house is a Dog House. The Crib with a roof is for naughty babies and the top picture shows a bathroom built into a studio apartment which you enter by the stairs....

Scotland The Brave

Scotland The Brave

What a brave exhibit this is at The National Gallery of Scotland. An Andy Warhol exhibition is celebrated by decorating the pillars on the front of the building with the famous Campbells Soup Cans. Bravo Scotland.
