Do You Avoid a Recipe If It's Too Time Consuming?
Yes, who has time these days to slave over the stove?
No, I'm not intimidated by lots of steps and spending time in the kitchen.
It depends on the day and my mood.

What Do You Wear While Cooking?
Jeans and a T-shirt . . . comfy but still cute.
Pajamas or sweats. Comfort wins over style in the kitchen.
A dress or skirt â€" you never know who'll show up.
I cook naked. It's so liberating.
I don't cook so I don't have that ...

1. Turkey is a great bird to make stock with. For a perfect stock, use
turkey wings and drumsticks, and reserve other parts for the second course. Rinse bony turkey parts in cold water, place in a large stainless steel stockpot with filtered water, add 2 tbsp vinegar, and let stand for about 30 min. (Vinegar is added so that to draw beneficial minerals from the bones into the stock.) Add to the pot coarsely chopped root vegetables, such as onions and carrots. Bring to boil, remove scum that rises on top (use a slotted spoon for that), add a pinch of sea salt, reduce heat to a minimum, and let simmer for 6 to 24 hours.

It makes the job so much easier! However, here are three easy recipes from Indian cuisine that you can use to impress your dinner guests.

When I started baking, I tried a new recipe for chocolate cookies. The final cookies were horribly stuck to the pan and tasted awful. My father called the cookies a failure, and I didn't talk to him for a week. I try not to get upset when a cake ends up being super dry or a steak is accidentally overcooked, but sometimes it's hard! What about you?

Once you've carved your jack o' lantern this Halloween, it'll be time to roast the pumpkin seeds. Instead of doing the usual - roasting and salting them - try this sweet, caramelized pumpkin seed recipe from the Food Network.

1. Today, the art of
making healthy soups is completely neglected in the United States. We seem to prefer ready canned concoctions with few natural ingredients to taking time and efforts of preparing a healthy and satisfying bowl of homemade soup. However, in every great cuisine of the world - French, Russian, Italian, etc., natural soups form an integral part of culinary art.
