What Kind of Brush Cleaner do you Use?

What Kind of Brush Cleaner do you Use?

By Kelly Robertson

Gentle on your skin, I apply almost all of my make-up with cosmetics brushes and have built up quite the collection over the year. Some were expensive but because I take good care of them, I’ve had many for a long time and they’re still in great shape.

I’m interested in what the membership uses to clean their cosmetics brushes to include cost, fragrance and if their favorite brand dries quickly so that the same brush can be used immediately after cleaning.

Ten Year Reunion

Ten Year Reunion

By Tashaune Hylton

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Is what came to me the day I opened my invitation to my 10 year class reunion. Not only was I going to have rub noses with people I have not seen in a while, the last time I saw them I was a tomboy!

In the 10 years since graduation high school I have come into my own sense of style and I wasn’t quite sure how to relate that to our event. The problem: a night club. I haven’t visited a night club since I was married four years ago. How do you say INTIMIDATING. What would a 30 year old non clubber wear to a club?

How To Find a Date Without a Shoe Fetish

How To Find a Date Without a Shoe Fetish

By Cranston The Cat

“I’m quitting,” my freshly divorced friend ceremoniously announced. “That’s it! I’m going to pull out of this silly race while I still have a scintilla of self-esteem intact.”

“No you’re not,” I retorted. “Quitting is not permitted. You’re just having a bad day. You’re blood sugar’s low. You’re hormonal. Go have a double cappuccino or a gargantuan Coke-Slurpee” (my fix for everything lately.) “You have to be patient,” I then offered more gently -”not set these impossible deadlines for finding someone. It doesn’t work that way.”

Your Customers: Treat Them Well; Build Strong Relationships

Your Customers: Treat Them Well; Build Strong Relationships

By Sondra Taylor

Customer relationships are what make your business important. Your customers are fabulous. Your business would not be as profitable without them. You might be just a face on a website with a name (or a voice), if this is the type of business your run. It might be that your customers never see or hear from you. You could be based on a collection of emails. You can go further to make a relationship than an email. Go a step beyond to call them and check on a project. Make them aware that you are taking time to speak to them and that you feel they are important. A good business owner puts time and money into appreciating their customers. Your customers generate profit to pay accounts; they refer you to other customers, open up new aspects of the business, and help the business expand. You make big profits and have great success because you have loved your clients and been loyal to them.

Who’s World Is It Anyway?

Who’s World Is It Anyway?

By Rose Mills

Do you ever wonder who’s world you’re living in? Are you really wearing the trousers in your life? Or is it dictated by the rising prices, fast paced city lifestyle and the demanding catwalk fashionistas – overly skinny, overly pretty and damn expensive to copy!

As a woman, an engaged woman at that, I often question my existence in relation to the things around me. A quickly emptying bank account (but I only got paid 5 days ago and haven’t even been food shopping yet!), what my friends are doing and talking about and how can we ignore the current failing bank system.

I Want My 18 Year Old Face Back!

By  Chomeka Franklin

As a 30-something woman with a busy life, I know I’m not the only one that has to find time to take care of their face. It’s usually a great day if all the makeup that was applied in the AM still looks natural at the end of the day.

Since I work in what most would consider a professional environment, I have learned that you get more respect if you don’t show up for work with a bare-face. That being said, even though we all have to eat and our jobs provide for us, we still have to take care of our skin underneath. There is no way that I’m going to retire from my job with wrinkles.
