Two chaps from Built NY decided to man their CES booth this year in orange boiler suits. I’m not sure what they were expecting, but I was safe in the knowledge that they were prepared for whatever it was. They calmly expressed their excitement about their new Electric line, which made me feel strangely safe. If any crisis arose during my 2-minute chat with them, I knew I was in good hands. The item they introduced was their charger bag, a “neoprene bag with six individual compartments and a handle.” I argued that the best place to pack chargers when traveling is in your shoes, a method that has proved extremely successful on this trip to Vegas. “Do your shoes come in black, leaf green or stripes?” one of them said in this now fictional conversation. He was right, I was beaten, and now the laughing stock of CES.
