She may have gotten her body back and her latest single “Womanizer” may have gone on top of the charts again – but Britney Spears’ troubled past is still coming back to haunt her.

The 26-year old mother of two will be due back in court Monday morning because she is facing a misdemeanor driving-without-a-license charge. A trial was already held last Friday, but the courts could not come to an agreement.

According to Hollyscoop.com, Britney was given an option to pay a $150 fine to close the case but her lawyer refused.

So having his client pay thousands of dollars in attorney’s fees – not to mention all the attention from the press – is a smarter move than paying less than 200 bucks? I don’t think so.
