I am absolutely appalled by this news: a British celebrity chef reportedly said that he’s sorry for mistakenly recommending a deadly plant as a “supposedly tasty” ingredient for a salad.
The name of the Brit chef is Anthony Worrall Thompson. On the July issue of Healthy and Organic Living magazine, a recipe from him was published which included henbane as a salad ingredient.
Henbane is actually a toxic plant which causes hallucinations, disorientation and drowsiness if ingested – and large doses of it can actually kill you!
Thompson reportedly referred to the incident as a ‘bit embarrassing’ – he actually meant to include weed fat hen in the recipe – which is an edible type of spinach.
OMG! I am actually fond of following recipes from food magazines. What would’ve happened if I followed his recipe and I had the rest of my family eat what I prepared?
And all he can say is that he’s embarrassed? It’s not even a typo from the mag, it’s actually a mistake on his part which he could’ve clearly avoided if he actually did his job and researched!

I never liked those cooking shows anyway :D But gosh, how could he?
