I grew up watching Charlie Brown specials — repeated over and over again every year on the appropriate holidays.  But that was all right.  Like the Grinch, Rudolph, Dorothy and co., and countless other oft-repeated holiday specials, I lived for seeing them each year.  ”It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” was unquestionably my favorite special, because Halloween has always been my favorite holiday.  It never gets old — even now I like to DVR it, since this time of year I’m often busy doing big-girl Halloween things.  I never thought I’d see anything better than the Great Pumpkin.  I was wrong.  Funny or Die proved me wrong.  They created Charlie Brown: Blockhead’s Revenge, and completely stole my heart.

Let me just preface this with a little bit of background info.  You know how MTV’s been doing a lot of remakes lately?  Notably, they’ve turned lighthearted Teen Wolf into a serious, sexy, dark drama.  Well … imagine if they did that to Charlie Brown as well.  And please, enjoy.  If you ever wondered what it would be like if Charlie Brown went absolutely banana sandwich, I hope this satisfies your curiosity like it did mine.

My only question: where is Snoopy? Or did I totally miss him?
