Ej,
Well I guess if two of you swear by it, it probably does work! Note to self: Must try Maybeline's red wooden eyeliner. Thanks again! :)

Hi ladies, I have tried liquid, powder, gel, pencil and nothing lasts 16 hours. I tried the $32 felt tip eyeliner by Hourglass, and it didnt stay on long enough. Dont spend your money on it. It faded after 5 to 6 hours and it flaked and smeared. I gave it a try for a week and I had to return it to Sephora. Same thing with Urban Decays gel liner $25. It faded and it would rub off. I agree with Alix thats the best kept secret, Maybellines red wooden eyeliner stays on for ever as long as you light a match and heat up the tip of the eyeliner for about 2 seconds. Let it cool off for 30 seconds and apply. You can even use it on the inside of your lower lash line and it WONT smear. I have been using it since I was 16 and Im 44. Trends come and go, but this eyeliner stays on.

same problem here ive used like 15 eyeliners and they all run under my eye and make me look like i havent slept for a month. ive used liquid waterproof, pencil waterproof, mineral with a brush, u name it! best option is Maybelline eye and eyebrow liner (the little red one that comes in wood pencil, the plastic one wont last). Its awsome and stays put. If u need more color (like for night makeup) just turn a lighter on and put the tip of the eye liner for 2 seconds (if u leave it more the tip will melt) then let it cool for 20 seconds apply and Vuala! super black cheap long lasting for oily skin! (the price is like $7 the pack of 2 at any drugstore. Enjoy ladies!

to Rebeeziac:

I have pretty oily eye lids too and I've been using a Dior eye liner for over a year now (it just doesn't end, I still have half of this pen, although I sharpen it regularly and use it every single day). I don't get any smudges, but I only wish they had a deeper black for more expression.

Try it in Sephora and see if it works for you! It was a pretty good investment for me...

I have really oily skin especially around my eyelids and i have used every type of liquid liner that is "guaranteed" to last.

For example, the first one, make up forever aqua eyes. i have used the set primer and alone and it still bleed and creases and smudges even after letting it dry for 6 minutes.

So i gave up on stick and went to liquid and i use carbon black loreal liquid liner and its good for the price but it smears off and all. The calligraphy seems reliable but i cant go around spending $32 a month on one cosmetic. I use liner almost everyday, so do you have any other alternatives?
