New shoes, Via Spiga

Oops! I just had a total impulse shoe buying moment at Nordies. But it often turns out these are the shoes we love and wear the most.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my new Via Spiga “Lire” pumps, in black.

Oh and they were on sale, so that’s even better.

For the next few weeks, I’m going to wear them with everything: skirts, shorts, pants… even my PJs if I feel so inclined.

She bangs, we bang

When I grow up, I want to be Salma Hayek. She made being in your 30s so cool — industrious, creative, successful, powerful and gorgeous. And now look at her! all quietly married and pregnant and everything. Classy.

Anyway — lovefest almost over — I’m mad about her slightly sideswept bangs. I’m seeing this a lot lately. Reese looks adorable lately with her sharper image (another one of my

Why go strapless?

I’m pretty sure we talked about this hhhaaages ago but since we’re starting to think about spring styles, I figured it was time to touch on Strap Couture again. I love these pretty designs, this gold one is my absolute fave.

This is such a saving grace for busty girls who, no matter what manufacturers claim, strapless bras just look awful and never keep things in place. So now you just attach

Lil’ Miss Sunshine

Jennifer Lopez looks ADORABLE!

I love these little summery sundresses that show lots of leg but keep arms covered. (I would like her to ditch the hoop earrings though.)

I like this $34.50 yellow dress from dELiA*s — it’s nowhere near as cute but girlies, Jennifer is your inspiration for sunny Saturdays.

CK One goes Web 2.0

Oh this is absurd. I’m talking about the launch of a new spin on an old scent. Yep, Calvin Klein is launching a new fragrance inspired by the IM generation.

I dunno Calvin, I’m like ROFL but I am blogging it. Txt ya l8r.

Yawn.

The Bartons bother me

It might be the angle of this picture from People mag or those atrocious tights (in this heat?!?! on those bony little pegs) but I actually feel a bit afraid and uncomfortable.

This feeling must be what boyfriends feel when their girlfriends arrive at the local bar for happy hour in really high fashiony looks — like, I don’t get it and I don’t really like it.

Hot wheels

Oooh my favorite! Hottie skaters is absolutely the best way to begin the morning dig out of my inbox. This new Adidas collection is all inspired by action sports.

Faves for the fellas include this Stan-Smith Vulcanized Slipon, $60.

And this Superskate shoe, just $55.

Update: Omilord, if you’re too lazy (or too stinky) to take off your shoes while shopping for new ones, apparently the Adidas

Best of Banana Republic at work

Most of us with day jobs are beginning to wonder what we can get away with wearing at the office this summer. Those clunky sandals, that oversize tunic dress with bare legs, seashore-find inspired bangles and beachy tousled hair are all high on my look list but it’ll all need some “blanding” before they get badged into my workplace.

Regardless of where you work, I always think that if it looks

Hotels at home

Toward the end of ‘06, my life had become quite jetset and dare I say that despite the dehydration, dealing with what you could and couldn’t take onboard with you, and shoulder ache from carrying-on my laptop, weekend bag, and slouchy handbag, I got used to it. I loved it.

Collapsing (albeit slightly dramatically) onto an impeccably well made bed, slipping into a huge fluffy white robe,

My phone’s making me stupid?

I love stories about TXT addiction and rinxiety because I’m totally guilty as charged but I especially love this story, which implies our reliance on gadgets is making us a culture of accident-prone workoholics.

It’s true, you shouldn’t talk and drive or txt while crossing busy intersections. And you shouldn’t get your work e-mail on your personal phone. EVER. Oh unless it’s your own business
