WNH signing off

Hi luvvies,

After a few years and a few different publishing platforms, I've decided to retire Want, Need, Have so I can focus on a new project.

I'm not killing the URL for now but will freeze some elements over the coming weeks.

It's been grand but it's time for this girl to hang up her heels and go barefoot.

Deal or No Deal? No thanks

OK, rarely do I break with tradition and blog about anything but fashion and style, industry and the web, but I just have to discuss my disdain for Deal or No Deal.

It is one of the noisiest, least interesting shows ever. Where do they get their "talent" and why aren't these people happy being in detergent and life insurance commercials alone?! Why must they pose as 'real' people and invade an

Tonics and teas

Over the last couple of weeks my health has been on a decline. Nothing serious but you know when you just feel toxic? Well it was time to bring in the experts.

First stop, Elixir Tonics and Teas, on Melrose. You feel more relaxed and balanced, the moment you set foot on the little wooden steps out front. Many years ago, Traditional Chinese Medicine helped me get back on track after a rather

Barneys CO-OP opens

Ladies and gents of Los Angeles, this is to inform you that the Barneys CO-OP is now open at The Grove.

I would still need to have someone paying at least half my rent in order to do anything more than idea-shop here but there are currently some gorgeous Ella Moss dresses and those Mike and Chris extra long hoodies, among other great names and collections.

There isn't much in the way of beauty

fashioncareers dot com, to come

If Monster and your local classifieds aren't turning up the types of jobs you're looking for, sit tight until Monday. That's when Fairchild Fashion Group will launch fashioncareers.com -- the URL is totally dead right now... boooo, no coming soon, no nothing! Typical slow-to-web fashion industry! Although the URL is indexing in Search.

Anyway, WWD has the details.

LA Fashion Week

Check out LA dot com's blog for the latest local happenings around LA Fashion Week and see Glam dot com for some live bloggage etc.

Blogging might be a bit slow actually, moving forward, while I decide what to do with this blog and WNH. It's been grand but there are so many cooks in this kitchen, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I'll keep sharing latest obsessions and observations for now...

Bloomingdales new site

If you haven't already seen it, Bloomingdales dot com got a makeover. They sent out this mailer which screamed about how cool it was.

More excitement? Ahh gee, I dunno. I'll let you be the judge of that. But I will say the navigation is way slicker and more simplified, including easier to identify quickhits to the bridal registry, which is big business for this bigbox retailer.

Well done UI

Teens shop by halves

Half sizes, that is. Apparently American Eagle's sales are soaring due to the introduction of micro-sizes.

I mean, if you can now get C and a half cup size bra, why not edge up (although for the kids it's probably psychological warfare to size down) in jeans and tees, too?

In the year 2000…

Looks like we're all living science fiction with this season's prescription for dresses from the future (read that in a dramatic echoy voice and it'll seem better).

I love this gallery that the adorable NY Mag has put together, which runs through the shapes and shades of things to come.

Although, I can't see myself donning this Stella dress... it reminds me of dressing up like a fairy princess

Beauty beverage

It seems Coca-Cola and L'Oreal are teaming up to take on Borba with their own fabulicious nutra-cosmeceutical to be sold at high end retailers.

The fountain of youth and beauty is just a sip away. Whatever.

New shoes, Via Spiga

Oops! I just had a total impulse shoe buying moment at Nordies. But it often turns out these are the shoes we love and wear the most.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my new Via Spiga "Lire" pumps, in black.

Oh and they were on sale, so that's even better.

For the next few weeks, I'm going to wear them with everything: skirts, shorts, pants... even my PJs if I feel so inclined.

She bangs, we bang

When I grow up, I want to be Salma Hayek. She made being in your 30s so cool -- industrious, creative, successful, powerful and gorgeous. And now look at her! all quietly married and pregnant and everything. Classy.

Anyway -- lovefest almost over -- I'm mad about her slightly sideswept bangs. I'm seeing this a lot lately. Reese looks adorable lately with her sharper image (another one of my

Why go strapless?

I'm pretty sure we talked about this hhhaaages ago but since we're starting to think about spring styles, I figured it was time to touch on Strap Couture again. I love these pretty designs, this gold one is my absolute fave.

This is such a saving grace for busty girls who, no matter what manufacturers claim, strapless bras just look awful and never keep things in place. So now you just attach

Lil’ Miss Sunshine

Jennifer Lopez looks ADORABLE!

I love these little summery sundresses that show lots of leg but keep arms covered. (I would like her to ditch the hoop earrings though.)

I like this $34.50 yellow dress from dELiA*s -- it's nowhere near as cute but girlies, Jennifer is your inspiration for sunny Saturdays.
