Miss Shirlington's stories:

The Jewels

The Jewels

Because my dress is lace from top to bottom, I'd like to wear a simpler necklace and intricate earrings. My jewelry will be gold, but I'm having trouble deciding which direction I'd like to go: pearls, crystals, or amethyst to go along with my purple wedding colors.

Here are some beauties I've seen that made the decision much harder.

Carrie D. Mader - This one can be ordered in gold.

I don’t care if it’s the beach! No flip flops allowed!!!

When I decided to get married at the beach, it was very important to me to keep my original color scheme: Eggplant, ivory, champagne and maybe a splash of celadon here or there for fun. Fiance and I have been looking for a place to have our rehearsal dinner. In the midst of my search for a private dining room in the DC area, I came across this absolute jewel. I present to you the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The balcony has views of the Washington Monument and the Jefferson Memorial. This is, hands down, the most beautiful space I have seen in all of my wedding planning days. More ...
