Lindsay gets rehab visit from her dad

The planned meeting between Lindsay Lohan and her father Michael has taken place at the Cirque Lodge treatment center in Utah, Lohan’s mother confirmed. “Lindsay, myself and my son, Michael Jr., agreed that it would be good for her to have some closure with the situation with her dad. It’s part of the healing process,” said Dina. According to Access Hollywood, the reunion marks the first time the 21-year-old actress has seen her father since his release from prison in March after serving two years for DUI and disorderly behavior charges. Asked if she is happy about Lindsay’s reunion with her dad, Dina said, “I am. I wanted it to happen for Lindsay. She needed to do this for herself. It’s still her father, no matter how you slice it. It’s still her dad, and God willing he’ll get it.” A source close to Lohan says the actress is scheduled to complete her program at the Cirque Lodge in about two weeks.

Produced by horror vet Clive Barker, the film will center around a couple who settle to raise their family in a seemingly idyllic English town when the husband, a claymation artist, discovers his characters are acting out a nightmare that comes to life. Production is set to start in August.

Paris dropped by agent; gets visit from folks

It was another busy day for reporters covering the Paris Hilton saga, with the news that she has been dumped by her agent and a prison visit from parents Rick and Kathy. The Hiltons spent about half an hour with their daughter through visiting room glass. “It’s tough in there. It’s cold,” Kathy Hilton told reporters on her way out. “It’s just good to see her. She was very happy. She wants to just do her time and get on with it. She really hasn’t had much sleep,” Mrs. Hilton added, in addition to losing her appetite. According to a source, the heiress was dropped by her talent agent at Endeavor agency, who told People mag, “Paris is no longer a client,” but did not provide specifics. After being repped by the agency for two years, her split from the group was reportedly announced in a company-wide email.

Ashby Grace at Cedars Sinai in LA, according to her rep. “We are beyond elated and look forward to appreciating today and every beautiful day to come with our new daughter,” O’Dell said in a statement. “It is even more special given she is named after her great-grandfather and was born on my father’s birthday. She made for quite a birthday present to her new grandfather.”

Paris has ADD and is claustrophobic

According to TMZ, the “medical condition” Paris Hilton suffers from is extreme Attention Deficit Disorder, for which she is taking Adderall. The heiress also reportedly suffers from claustrophobia, and the two disorders combined may have prompted the sheriff’s department’s decision to reassign her from prison to house arrest last week. Hilton was apparently not receiving all of her medications during her imprisonment at Lynwood last wek, and was having severe panic attacks as a result.

Mulroney has requested joint legal and physical custody of their child and asked the court to determine property rights.

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis penned a guest blog on the Huffington Post in the wake of all the recent young Hollywood scandal, admonishing celebrity moms for not giving their daughters the tools to cope with their status. “As the denouement of a really upsetting celebrity scandal came to its close, a tearful child pleaded to her mother… ‘Mom, it’s not right.’ It was a painful episode to watch,” Curtis writes of Paris Hilton’s court appearance last Friday. “A young woman, begging her mother, the person who should have taught her right from wrong, to help her, to teach her the rules of life. It was a little too late. And so she wept as the Universe was bringing the teaching and settling the score. I’m in no glass house. I understand only too well the pitfalls of maternal amnesia and denial. I am not throwing stones but merely a lifesaver, a buoy of sanity and understanding.” Curtis also calls on the mothers of Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears, saying, “The sad paths of the three most popular young women – privileged but from varying backgrounds, talented, beautiful and spectacular – have ended in prison, rehab and mental illness. I hope their mothers are worried sick and wondering, ‘What could I have done differently?’ And our culture should be asking the same question too… Wake up, Mothers and smell the denial.”

Another Paris Hilton update… This girl obviously loves all the press, and even called Barbara Walters from prison to discuss her mental state over the weekend. On this morning’s View, Walters told viewers she received a call from the heiress on Sunday at around 3 pm. “I feel as if I’m a different person,” Hilton said, according to the View host. “I used to act dumb. That act is no longer cute. Now, I would like to make a difference. God has given me this new chance.” Walters said the socialite “sounded tired but totally aware of what she was saying,” and reports that Hilton has been inspired by a spiritual adviser and self-help books. Of reports that she was heard “wailing, screaming and sobbing” during her first three days in jail last week, Hilton disagreed, telling Walters, “I was not eating or sleeping. I was severely depressed. I felt as if I was in a cage. I was not myself. It was a horrible experience.” Hilton also said that her fellow inmates have been kind to her and that she is wearing a standard prison-issue brown jumpsuit with no makeup. “I haven’t looked in a mirror since I got here,” she said. “I am not that superficial girl.” The heiress said she is hoping for an early release and that she’s interested in doing charity work, either for breast cancer or multiple sclerosis causes, and would like to open a “playhouse” for sick children.

How did personal photos from Lindsay Lohan’s camera end up all over the tabloid press? Stolen by paparazzi, of course. Whatever your opinion of the bizarre Lohan “knife” photos where she and Vanessa Minnillo are seen holding a knife to each other’s throats and breasts, you’d have to agree that Lohan has a right to take photos of whatever she wants without worrying about them ending up as front page news. “Those photos were stolen by paparazzi when Lindsay went to The Ivy for lunch,” a snitch told Celebrity Babylon. “[The photographer] waited until the valet parked her car and then reached inside, took her camera that was just laying on the seat, downloading the photos onto his laptop hard drive, and put the camera back. By the time the valet brought Lindsay’s car around, everything was just the way it was when she got out, and she had no clue what had happened.” The images were taken almost exactly a year ago, and according to the source, now was the perfect time to release them publicly. “She has so many troubles, what’s she going to do, sue? It’s like kicking someone when they’re down – way down.” Lohan’s rep released a statement about the theft, saying, “Unfortunately, we live in a society where we allow stolen pictures to make a profit. I can’t believe magazines would purchase and publish stolen, personal photos. If anyone wants to step up to the plate and donate the profits from their sale, we would be happy to point you in the direction of a charity in need.”

Paris gets visitors; will not appeal sentence

Paris Hilton was visited by her sister Nicky and ex-boyfriend Stavros Niarchos on Sunday in the Twin Towers Correctional Facility’s medical ward. The pair spent about half an hour with the jailed heiress before leaving through a throng of photographers and without making comment to reporters. Hilton issues a statement on Saturday announcing her intention to serve out the remainder of her sentence without filing an appeal. “Today I told my attorneys not fo appeal the judge’s decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff’s concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge,” she said. “Being in jail is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience. As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistake. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming. I must also say that I was shocked to see all the attention devoted to the amount of time I would spend in jail for what I had done by the media, public and city officials. I would hope going forward that the public and the media will focus on more important things, like the men and women serving our country in Iraq, Afghanistan and other places around the world.”

Lindsay’s mom skips court for rehab visit

Dina Lohan missed a court hearing on Friday while visiting daughter Lindsay in rehab in Malibu. The hearing is part of the actress’s estranged father Michael’s attempt to secure visitation rights for his two youngest children, 13-year-old Aliana and 10-year-old Dakota. “Where is your client?” a Nassau County Family Court judge angrily asked Dina Lohan’s lawyer when she didn’t show up in court. The lawyer said Lohan was getting ready to fly to California to see Lindsay. “All future dates she is required to be here,” ordered the judge. Michael Lohan has not seen his children for more than two years as a result of a restraining order maintained by Dina. The former couple’s older two children, Lindsay and her 19-year-old brother Michael are not involved in the case as they are no longer minors.
