I’m seriously getting dizzy with all this nonsense. Just when you think she’s going to get the help she needs, she escapes and heads back to the bar. This is not the actions of a woman who is trying to keep custody of her children.

Sources tell ET that BRITNEY SPEARS left Promises residential treatment center in Malibu, CA early this morning — less than 24 hours after checking into the facility.

Following the news that she was in rehab, her manager LARRY RUDOLPH released a statement Tuesday, saying, “Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today. We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time.”

It all started over the weekend, when Britney made headlines by taking a pair of electric shears to her head and shaving off all of her hair. The mom of two small children visited a Tarzana, Calif. hair salon on Friday, and asked veteran stylist ESTHER TOGNOZZI to shave her head.

“All of a sudden there were people knocking on my door saying, ‘Open the door,’ and they said Britney Spears needs to come in,” Tognozzi tells ET.

“She sat on my chair and wanted her hair shaved off and I said, ‘I’m not doing it,’” she continues. “I said, ‘Maybe you’re having, you know, a hormonal moment [and] tomorrow will be different, let’s talk about it,’ and she said, ‘No I want my hair shaved off.’” When Tognozzi hesitated, Brit used a pair of electric clippers to shave her hair off herself. “[She] came over and sat in this chair … and proceeded shaving off her hair.”

The songstress was then spotted at a Los Angeles-area tattoo parlor, where she got two new pieces of body art.

This shocking move comes on the heels of People magazine’s report that last week the singer checked in and abruptly checked out of ERIC CLAPTON’s Crossroads Centre, a rehab facility in Antigua, leaving after just one day and returning to Southern California on Friday.

Ever since separating from Federline in November, Britney has been making headlines for her party-hopping and no-panty-wearing ways.

Besides being caught numerous times by paparazzi flashing her goods while getting in and out of her rides, she has also been spotted everywhere, from Malibu to Las Vegas to New York City, making the rounds at the hottest clubs.

First she was seen out a number of times with PARIS HILTON. Soon that friendship reportedly fizzled, and Britney started spending time with ISAAC COHEN until their reported recent split.

Britney Spears entered rehab Tuesday after a bizarre weekend that included shaving her head and getting a new tattoo. This is her second time, with the first lasting an entire day. Hopefully she will take this seriously and get the help she needs.

Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, told People magazine’s Web site that Spears, 25, had voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed treatment facility.

“Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today,” Spears publicist Larry Rudolph said in a written statement. “We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those (privacy concerns) of her family and friends at this time.”

Rudolph did not say what Spears would be treated for or where the rehabilitation facility was located. Celebrity Web site TMZ.com reported the center was in the Los Angeles area and that she entered it at the urging of family members.

Calls to Spears’ representatives by The Associated Press weren’t immediately returned Tuesday.

Entertainment TV shows and Web sites had reported Friday that Spears had gone in and out of rehab that week.

Since announcing her separation from Kevin Federline in November, Spears has been seen partying heavily, and her appearance has been increasingly sloppy.

“We are witnessing Britney in the midst of a breakdown,” Ian Drew, editor at large at Us Weekly magazine, told the AP.

“She is a child star unraveling, and is the perfect example of when a child star evolves into an adult and doesn’t have someone telling them what to do, or giving them the right affirmative advice, and the right support,” Drew said. “She basically started out very young in a competitive business.”

New York-based psychiatrist Gail Saltz said she “would not be surprised” if Spears, mother to 5-month-old Jayden James and 1-year-old Sean Preston, was suffering from postpartum depression.

Her public split with Federline isn’t helping matters, Saltz told the AP. She suggested that Spears’ seemingly impulsive decision to shave her head was “a blatantly self-destructive, you know, desperate kind of act.”

Spears grabbed an electrical shaver at a San Fernando Valley salon and shaved her head bald Friday night. Video on KABC-TV showed a newly shorn Spears with tiny tattoos on the back of her neck as she sat for a new tattoo - a pair of red-and-pink lips on her wrist.

Esther’s Haircutting Studio, where Spears shaved her head, set up a Web site to auction off her hair and other items for a minimum price of $1 million, J.T. Tognozzi, who owns the salon with his wife, told the AP.

“This is it, the opportunity of a lifetime,” according to BuyBritneysHair.com. The winning bidder gets Spears’ dark, knotty hair extensions, the clipper she used to cut them off, the Red Bull she drank at the salon and her cigarette lighter.

“This girl is out of control,” Joy Behar, a co-host on ABC’s “The View,” said Monday. “And, she’s in a lot of trouble. A lot of people feel this is self-mutilation.”

Craig Ferguson, host of CBS’ “The Late Late Show,” said that after seeing photos of Spears’ shaved head, he reconsidered making jokes at the expense of the “vulnerable.”

“For me, comedy should have a certain amount of joy in it,” he told viewers Monday. “It should be about attacking the powerful - the politicians, the Trumps, the blowhards - going after them. We shouldn’t be attacking the vulnerable.”

Extra also sheds some light on why Britney might have gone bald in the first place. Apparently, Kevin Federline had threatened on Friday night, to have her hair tested for drugs. So… she got shed of the hair. The stubble can’t be tested, ha! Right.
