Ecocentric has made good use of the design talents of co-founder Oliver Heath (who apparently appears on ITV's Dream Homes) to release a range of energy-saving LED lights as well as giving the twirly energy saving bulb an overhaul with a more conventional look.

This compact, 60g MP4 player from EMTEC is designed to complement habitual users of Windows Media Player but is by no means limited to them. It's got 2GB of memory (which can be doubled using the built in SD/MMC card slot) and plays up to 20 hours of audio or two hours of video. Supported formats include MP3, WMA, AVI and MPEG4. Don't have an AVI file? You can pop along to EMTEC's website to download simple conversion software.

Man, do I love this phone. Sorry, I'm probably supposed to start with some introduction about Sony Ericsson smartphones, but despite the fact that this handset looks unassuming and doesn't pack any particularly unique standout features, I really like it. It's easy to use (for the most part), features everything I ever use on any regular basis and a couple of things I don't.

Logitech's G51 Surround Sound Speaker System aims to "bring games to life with 360-degree surround sound". It sure looks good and talks big, but does what's under the hood live up to that - especially since it has a very reasonably $200 (£100) price tag?
