Hey Monica,
I so totally agree with you but unfortunately the world is not all black and white and the "be happy with what you have" theory only works...well...in theory. I try so hard to be happy with what I have but it's hard! And when I see another woman who has what i want, I can't help but curse her under my breath.

I go back and fourth on this one. Sometimes I think women should be "curvy" because aren't we suppose to be responsible for supporting life? We are the ones who have to carry children, and a little extra meat can be decent enough for a pregnancy. Don't misunderstand me, I am NOT saying you need to be 300 pounds in order to have a baby, but I AM saying that the bigger a womans hips are, the more fertile she is. If you are thin, fine! If you are fat, fine! If you are skinny, fine! If you are athletic, fine! I personally like my narrow waist and wider hips, round butt, and semi-thick thighs. But I don't think it should matter what other women are. We are not all going to be the same. Some women like being thin, and that's okay. A lot of times smaller women get bad rap, just because they are smaller. Larger women talk about "oh those skinny bi***s are mean to us!" yet at the same time, some of us wider folk are just as rude to them. I was given what I was given, and I can't change that. I accept who I am, and if women started changing their mentality, we wouldn't have problems with each other. For the most part. :)

i dont think the question should even be about being 'curvy' or 'thin' i personally feel that it should be about embracing the natural beauty of a womans body, regardless of her body shape. some woman are naturally thin and some are naturally curvy, but why should that make one more appealing than the other? as long as you are comfortable with who you are then your body type should not be an issue. i do agree that stars like mary-kate olsen and nicole ritchie have taken the thin look drastically to far to the point where they look anorexic, to me that is UNATTRACTIVE. A woman with confidence will always be sexy so aslong as you learn to love yourself then everyone else will learn to love you whether you be thin or curvy.

This post is right on the mark. As soon as women feel they are "supposed" to be anything they fall into a trap of
not being, or at least trying to discover, who they really are.
