I’m all for putting erring individuals before the pillars of justice but is it really necessary to also pry into the private lives of their former significant others? This got me thinking after I read that Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway’s private journals as well as her private, nude photos were confiscated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (no less!) Anne apparently posed naked for ex-boyfriend Raffaello Follieri and the photos were found in his apartment. Nice to know where the people’s taxes are being used for!
According to the National Enquirer, Raffaello took naked photos of Anne, 25, including his prized possession, a photo of her in black fishnet stockings, a garter belt and bustier that totally exposed her top. Well, I must admit, this has changed my impression of the ever-angelic looking Anne but come on, she’s of age and she knew what she was doing! And, really, what’s those photos got to do with the investigation into Raffaello’s alleged fraud charges? I hope those photos won’t get leaked online… for Anne’s sake!
What are your thoughts on this?
Did the FBI exceed their authority??? Presumably they had
obtained a search warrent, which may or may not have included the address of the storage facility from which these photos were taken. I wonder if the Judge who issued it would consider that these photos as evidence in their investigation ,I doubt it. As a law enforcement agency the FBI has a duty to prosecute those who have committed as offence, they also have a duty to protect the innocent. M/s Hathaway has not been accused or charged with any offence.Perhaps her Lawers should apply to the Judge to order the FBI to return her private property, as these photos have no bearing on the case they are investigating. It would appear that the FBI leaked the content of the photos to the press, would the Judge condone that?????

Billy, I am totally with you on this one! The situation is absolutely ridiculous, what on earth the pictures have to do with the fraud trial? Please…
I wish Ann takes some legal action before the pictures make their way to the press!
Unfortunatly Olga I doubt if Anne ever reads comments posted, which s hardly surprising bearing in mind what some morons have to say. If anyone knows her who reads this, perhaps it would in her interests to point out that the FBI are not above the Law, on this occasion they seem to think they are. Anne has enought to worry about without the FBI unlawfully adding to her problems.
Oh, well, then I just hope she figures this out herself or somebody who cares about her gives her the same advice you just gave…
She is a smart girl, she’ll be fine for sure :)
