Many people find oatmeal to be bland and unappetizing. That is too bad because oatmeal is a great source of fiber and phytochemicals that promote a healthy body and heart. It's not too late, though, to start enjoying oatmeal. I give to you 9 ways to make oatmeal interesting.

Admittedly, oatmeal has a bland and boring taste. To make it more palatable, you can try adding brown or raw sugar to cooked oatmeal. For healthier choices, you can also try using maple syrup or honey. Just remember not to go overboard with the sugar.

Oatmeal with milk is very delicious. Using full cream milk adds a creamy texture and sweet taste to cooked oatmeal. You can also use skim or non-fat milk.

I make another reciepe- roast the oatmeal add finely chopped onion,garlic,chilli,coriander leaves and a sliught salt and blackpepper. Add water and boil. Ready to serve.

OATMEAL PANCAKES!! 1/3 cup of oats 2 tbsp water (you may need 3) 1 tbsp milk 1 tbsp flour 1 egg pinch of salt Mix the mixture adding more flour/water until it rolls off the spoon in a half runny half malleable way, then cook in a frying pan, alternating sides until golden brown/desired. Prep: 5 minutes Cooking time: 5 minutes You can add fruit to the mixture (e.g. blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, sliced/chopped bananas) Well, you can add pretty much anything you like :) I have mine with maple syrup, mmmm.

my nutriologist told me about this shake: 3 spoons of oatmeal, 1 spoon of brown sugar or honey, 5 or so nuts (almonds, pine kernel and other nuts work great), half a fruit (peach, apple, banana, pear, mango, etc) and milk for a super energetic and delicious morning shake. i have it every morning included on my gaining weight plan, but anyone can have it for a boost of energy.

The Peanut Butter is our favorite! Add some sliced banana and sprinkle of brown sugar :)
