Starving oneself...For some reason, this remains a popular way to attempt to lose weight. Unfortunately, it fails every single time. OH Id like to call BS on that one...I've tryed it...and while doing it,sure i had headaches and weakness...but i also lost 20 lbs,yes 20 in 2 weeks...and ive kept that 20 off for 3 months now...and im gettin ready to do it again. danger:high? please...the danger is a heck of a lot lower then forcing yourself to puke,or ingesting tons of different chemicals into ones body. Theres a ton of religious people,who do the exact same damn thing,its called fasting.They've been starving/fasting for 100's of years and none of them seem to have any trouble with it.To starve oneself under a controlled supervised situation,is completely normal,and is,quite simply,a natural process the body has had since the cave man days. If your in bad health,don't starve yourself,there are a few complications when dealing with starvation and any current health problems you may have.But if your feeling up to it ,and simply want to melt away fat...go right ahead...1st couple days will suck...but by day 4 you should be good. As for how long?Depends...when you run out of calories from muscles and fat...you die.....so try to keep your overall weight over 150.....if your say 150 or under i have no idea why youd want to starve yourself....theres my 2 cents.

Your insulin information has a very serious error. You state: "...is to inject oneself with less insulin. This means that they have enough to stay alive, but not enough to keep their blood sugars high enough." The point of insulin is to keep the blood sugars LOW enough. If not taking enough insulin, your blood sugars become too high and your body goes into a state of ketosis, or rapid fatburning that in turn releases ketones into you blood stream and does serious damage.

I actively do 3 of these, sometimes you do what you must to lose weight, it is painful and it sucks, even though im a guy i still cant stand the idea of how fat i am, it is maddening, but someday ill be skinny and i wont need these techniques anymore :).

I can fast for a week and not ever any pain, much less serious pain. I appreciate the overall message, but your reasons are hardly accurate.
