Baking Soda Will do the Trick

Of course, you have probably already heard this one, but I know that some of you are fresh (teenagers) that may have never heard of this trick. Baking soda is the most common of all the home teeth whiteners out there. Take a little bit of water and add a drop of baking soda to make it pasty. Brush your teeth using your toothbrush. Let it stay on there for a couple of minutes, then gargle to rinse. It is okay if you accidently swallow it, because it is just baking soda. The downside is that it does not have a good taste.

Okay, so the baking soda tastes too bad for you, right? I don’t blame you. Then try lemon and salt. This is a good whitening product. This will involve you mixing lemon with an equal amount of salt to make a paste. Rub it all over your teeth one time a day before you go to bed.

Have you ever heard of this? I didn’t, until a friend told me about it. Use the white side of the peeling and rub it over your stained yellow teeth. This will give a polished shine for a couple of weeks. Do this three times a day in order for it to be effective. However, I have noticed that it causes sensitivity.

The Bay Leaves Method

I have read that people use bay leaves in order to whiten their teeth. Take some dried bay leaves and crush them up. Mix it with an equal amount of dried orange peel that has also been crushed. You can use water in order to make a paste or you can leave it in the powdery form. Rub the paste or powder on your teeth and use it as a whitener.

I know, the first thought of this one would be that it leaves red on your teeth. They say rubbing strawberries on your teeth will give you the teeth whitening effect. As a follow up, you may want to brush your teeth after this in order to get rid of the sugar content.

If you can tolerate it, washing your mouth out with apple cider vinegar will work as a teeth whitener. All you have to do is swish it around your mouth for a couple of minutes. In order to make a paste, you could add some baking soda and a hint of salt. This is an effective one as it will be combining three teeth whitening agents all together.

Colgate whitening strips work amazingly well and stay white!

Having a piece of lemon during meal actually wards offstaining teeth.

Peroxide also works real well. If you are afraid of using peroxide (it wont hurt you at all, just don't use a lot) you can get a pre mouth wash that has peroxide in it and use that. It works great. I have been using that and the Crest 3D toothpaste. I always get complements from the dentist about how nice my teeth are.

I have a question, I want to try baking soda method... How many times in a week should I do it? Thank You.... !!!

Rubbing lemon on your teeth before bed as well as frequently using acidic foods for whitening will lower the pH level in your mouth for a longer period of time significantly increasing the chances for cavities. You must also be careful when using abrasive materials such as baking soda so as to not damage your gum tissue in the process. And if you are still unable to make your teeth whiter the stains may be internal or have calculus. ~ Your friendly Dental Hygienist

The gel you get at your dentists, carbamide peroxide really is the only thing that I have found to work. I had mine done over a year ago although I but my gel now from Smile 4 You in the UK as it is much more reasonably priced than my Dentist.

there's also "close up white now" tooth paste its actually REALLY good! it REALLY does whiten your teeth instantly and it costs as much as any other tooth past... i totally reccomend it
