I don’t know about you, but I prefer my designer handbags without all those flashy designer logos. I think it’s a reflection of the current minimalism trend that is taking the streets by storm. I’m talking about bags that have simple, clean designs and are all still pleasing to the eye. It’s understated elegance at its best.

This is probably one of the most classic designs out there. It has been on my lust list for as long as I can remember. What appeals to me most about it is the fuss-free design. The handles on the top are perfect for carrying or slinging over the nook of your elbow. It also comes in a range of different colours and leathers, but the classic tan is by far my favourite.

This two-tone satchel is an elegant offering from former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham. This definitely lives up to the ‘Posh Spice’ moniker. What really appealed to me about this bag was the colour combination of black and taupe. It’s just a really beautiful and wearable design.

Detachable shoulder straps, silver toned protective feet, and luggage tag labels on either end – it’s the functionality that makes this bag so appealing. The added bonus is that it is such a beautiful design. I find that the cream colour is a nice change from your run-of-the-mill black and brown leather. This bag makes the most out of both form and function.
