You do NOT use ANYTHING but cleaning solution to clean your contact lenses!!!!!!!!!! Also, you don't visit a 'doctor', you need to go to your optometrist if you have any health concerns over your eyes. You should also see an optician annually because they will check for things that regular optometrists will not look for - like neovascularization which is abnormal ingrowth of blood vessels (which never reverse and go away - once they are there, they are there forever) in the cornea due to lack of oxygen, which usually comes from wearing contact lenses too long or ones that do not have a high permeability to oxygen. It is a common sign associated with soft contact lens wear and can result in vision impairment or even degrees of blindness.
