Not so long ago, a woman was measured for marital prospects and success at life based on just a few things, like how well she could sew, keep house, and cook. Thank goodness that’s not the case today! I have to admit though, that while I know I’m not being judged on how well I can cook, I love it! Learning new recipes, trying new dishes, it’s so much fun! And even though your future mother-in-law may not care whether or not you can cook, here are some reasons to learn to cook anyway…

Cooking can always be a fun activity to do with your kids. Kids aren’t able to make a mess very often, are they? Sometimes at school they can paint and make a small disaster, but really, they almost never get to cut loose. Why not let them help you in the kitchen?
