I too worked at PB back in 1996-97. Half the crap was broken before we ever even pulled in from the crates (all of us had at least one shift per week in the stock room). I am mostly talking about the PB "stuff" -- lamps, accessories, what-nots. I didn't have much experience with the furniture. The lamps were regularly returned - they were absolute junk. In fact, I just ordered a lamp (along with the shade they featured in the catalog and online) and the shade would not fit the lamp. I guess some moronic designer forced a fit for a photo op only to waste the time of customers who then ordered the featured pairing. I have to agree at least in part with Girlie Girl.
