1

Moisturizer

I know, technically, it isn't makeup. And yet, it is a necessity when it comes to wearing makeup. Without proper moisture, it is impossible to get your makeup to look natural and smooth. So, choose the moisturizer that works good for your face, and soften up. Use sparingly, however, to prevent too much oil on your face. You don't want to look all greasy!

UPD:

Moisturizer is an essential step in the makeup routine of any teen girl. It helps to hydrate the skin and prevent dryness, which can cause makeup to look cakey. Moisturizer also helps to create a smooth base for makeup, which helps it to apply more evenly. It is important to choose the right moisturizer for your skin type. For example, a moisturizer with added SPF is perfect for those with oily skin, while a heavier cream is better for those with dry skin. Additionally, it is important to use moisturizer sparingly, as too much can cause a greasy look. Applying it after cleansing and toning will help to lock in moisture and create a perfect base for makeup.

2

Translucent Powder

Forget the foundation, and heavy colored powders. Mom says to take advantage of this youthful skin while I've got it. Show it off, don't mask it under heavy foundations. A translucent powder will create the perfect canvas to show off your true beauty with your makeup.

3

Eye Shadow

For us girls, it's all about they eyes and lips. So play up those beautiful eyes with the perfect eye shadow. You can get those really neat shadow sets that set off your eye color, or just go glam and pop with some bright, sparkly colors. Just remember, you want to be viewed as the beautiful girl that you are, and not some circus clown, so go sparingly on the bright colors!

UPD:

Eye shadow is a must-have for teen girls who want to enhance their beauty. It is a great way to make your eyes stand out and bring out the color of your eyes. There are many different types of eye shadow available, including matte, shimmer, and glitter. You can choose from a variety of colors, from natural and neutral shades to bold and bright colors. When applying eye shadow, it is important to use a light hand and blend the colors for a natural look. You can also use eye shadow to create different looks, such as smoky eyes and cut creases.

Eye shadow can be applied with either an eye shadow brush or a sponge applicator. When using a brush, start with the lightest color and apply it to the entire lid. Then, use the darker colors to create depth and dimension. When using a sponge applicator, apply the colors in a dabbing motion. Be sure to blend the colors together for a seamless look.

4

Mascara

Don't bother with the heavy lines of eyeliner. Just use a simple dark brown or black mascara and lightly go over your lashes for a classic look. If you want bright eyes, just do your top lashes and leave the bottom bare. If you want a night look for a party or something, you can do both top and bottom lashes. Just be careful not to clump!

UPD:

Mascara is a must-have for teenage girls looking to enhance their natural beauty. It's an easy way to make eyes look brighter and more defined, and it comes in a variety of colors and formulas. For a classic look, choose a dark brown or black mascara and lightly apply it to the top lashes. To make eyes even brighter, leave the bottom lashes bare. For a night look, apply mascara to both the top and bottom lashes, but be careful not to overdo it and clump the lashes together. Mascara can also be used to create a more dramatic look by layering multiple coats, or by using a waterproof formula to create a smudge-proof look that will last all night. When choosing a mascara, look for one that is non-irritating and hypoallergenic, as teenage skin can be more sensitive than adult skin. With the right mascara, teenage girls can easily create a variety of looks that will help them look and feel their best.

5

Bronzer

You don't really need blush, since we all have a natural pink color to our faces at our age. What works really well for us is bronzer. Be sure to get the right color for your skin tone, though! Use the bronzer as you would blush, but also add a bit to your forhead and chin to create a youthful, sun-kissed look year around!

Lip Balm

The first step to pretty lips is soft, moisturized lips. So above all else, use Chap stick religiously. Keep it with you at all times, especially in the winter months. If you can afford it, Burt's Bees is the best brand, though original Chap stick works very well.

7

Lip Gloss

Who needs lipstick when we've got lip gloss! I love the look of gloss rather than heavy lipstick, personally. If you want color, Bath & Body has some great tinted lip gloss!

Being beautiful is what we do best, and having the right tools just makes our job a little easier. If you have these seven things in stock, you're sure to be in top-notch shape year around! Which ones do you consider the most important?

Where Thoughts and Opinions Converge

I love the natural look, so I just stick to foundation, mascara, eye liner, bronzed, and sometimes blush. But I'm going to try the moisturizer + translucent powder thing. Great post, thanks! :)

this is a great post because finally some one cares and support teens and make ups, but also there're a few things i would have to argue with you, and these are my suggestions.: 1. i know that you are suggesting bronzer for that healthy glow that it will give, but it's very tricky at applying bronzer for starters. if you apply too much, your tone will become messy and uneven (I have a lot of experience with this). plus bronzer sculpts your face, it only goes with certain, actually quite a big range of make up types, but not all. so a touch of blush on the apples of the cheeks is more necessary than bronzers. 2. i am actually very surprised that your didn't mention concealers at all! acne are one of teenagers worse enemies because of the unstablity of hormone and stress of school also brings out dark circles and such. so concealer is veyr necessary for teens to cover of imperfections since you don't suggest foundation. 3. foundation is okay if you feel like you need it, but look for ones that doesn't clog your pores, and ones that matches with your natural skin tone. if u like a more sheer look, go for tinted moisturizer. 4. personally, i think redefining eye brows is very important because it frames your eyes and make your look neater (my feel). but not too much that u start to look mascular. three tones lighter than ur hair for darker hair, and three tones darker for lighter hair. 5. if you are really going to a natural look, eye shadow is unnecessary. eye liner is necessary though, it darkens ur eyes and emphasize it, but maybe yes it could be too heavy. mascara of course. but the fun at make up is really still at eye shadows, so play with it. 6.

I'd say this isn't a general list for girls, this is focusing on very neutral make up. Not all teen girls like really neutral/natural makeup.

I also don't agree. not being like mean or anything but most teens that are around my age (13) like the eyeliner and it's their best friend. the lip gloss is kinda sparing because we all like kissing our boyfriends right??? sometimes the gloss is too sticky and ruins the moment and I have awful skin so the translucent doesn't do much to it and this whole entire article doesn't tell ANY brands... sorry if I sound rude LOL I don't mean to be

Not all girls like makeup or are acne prone in highschool

This is a very good idea of the blog, but I have to disagree on a lot (I'm sorry!! lol). Especially when there is the word "all". I'm just the sensitive type, but not "all" girls really think/look like this. When I was little I thought makeup was so unneccessary. As a teen now I'm not near having natural pink. That part might be just a tad offensive to people with darker skin than mine (my skin is considered dark, but not black). I hope this comment helps more than threatens (wha? Haha!).

Ive never heard of translucent powder before but it sounds great, because i can never find the right shade for my face haha.

Aright well most girls at my school and me haha love eyliner haha and I'm a sophmore in high school sooo ya

I don't get why lipstick is considered "heavy". Most lipsticks are very moisturizing (much more than a lip gloss) and can also be applied to be opaque or as a stain, on their own or topped with lip gloss/lip balm. Lipstick is so versatile!
