i think anyone under 18 should be banned from the internet and any media exposure, including social media. its insane to see so many kids so obsessed with losing weight when most of them are ...See more within or under their healthy weight range. Unless your obese, eat well, ride a bike, get off facebook and enjoy the very few years you have being an adolencent. It doesnt last long, i had an eating disorder from 15-18 years old, i look back now any only wished i wasnt fixated on my weight and just had plain old fun!
Being skinny wont change the way you see yourself or make you happier. First you need to be proud and happy with who you are right now, then the rest will just fall into place:) LS

It is, however, important that they make the right dietary choices. If you’re under 18 you shouldn’t be focusing on limiting calories, but getting lots of GOOD foods and, like you said, getting outside and ...See more enjoying life. It’s sad how much things have changed since I was a kid, and I’m only 22. I can’t imagine how much life will have changed in ten more years.

I must say that I agree with you, but only partially. Yes, kids these days are fixated on the media, and what everyone else has to say, but remember: when you are overweight, you may ...See more not get to have as much fun. No, if you’re still growing out of your baby fat, then you shouldn’t worry about it. But if you’re a 15 year-old kid that has problems running a lap around the track, then you should reconsider taking a look at your lifestyle. What you say is true, just being happy with yourself is great, but getting to do all of the fun things can be really difficult and sometimes embarrasing. A lot of times people will snicker at you when you run or bed down. Sometimes you can’t ride the rollercoaster with your friends, and I don’t know how many times you get looked over by people who don’t care much for people they don’t think are attractive. My point is, yes, have fun and don’t worry about it too much, but being healthy and getting a good start into life isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

That sounds like an awful idea! Technology is something that makes our society great sure it has its failuries but banning anyone under 18 from it seems so extreme. I can say I am somewhat ...See more sympathetic of your disorder when you were younger and I can see you dont want others falling into your past. But what if its what their hearts desire? Then it will make them happy. And “the rest will just fall into place”? What kind of advice is that?! They should do it now since they have all the time they can want! My examples as follows: they dont need to have jobs, they are not pregnant or have children, they are carefree! What if the doctors just said ” have fun and we’ll let your cancer fall into place?” Of course that exsample is way too out of proportion, but they should take action and steer their lives. What if they end up 35 years old working all hours of the day (“god” forbid) and are obese? They might look back and think “hmm I should of did it back then”.

Lol…. really? Do you see a child and think “wow that kid is fat its their own fault” ? I was always an active child and I didn’t eat a lot. I ...See more was over weight, but my mom couldn’t understand why so she took me to the doctors and turns out I just need to start my menstrual cycle… Once I finally started I got skinny and have pretty much stayed with in my perfect weight since then (besides during and shortly after pregnancy). Point is, its not always the child’s fault. You do not know a child you don’t know what they eat during the day or if they just sit around all day or not. If you seriously think it is always their fault you either have some mental issues, are to young to have a valid opinion, or just an idiot.
Melissa Panas :
you’re 12 and weigh 118? sounds perfect to me! I weighed 148 when I was 12. How tall are you? even if you’re under 5′ I still think 118 is fine. ...See more Eat a great breakfast, a good lunch and dinner, don’t eat in between, unless a piece of fruit, and get some exercise like riding a bike or even just walking, and you will always be fine. and, at 12, stop obsessing about your weight. it will continue to fluctuate as you mature.

Why should they be BANNED from the internet? They have questions too about stuff that they are too embarrased to ask their parents about. I mean, if i went to my mom and told her ...See more that i wanted to lose weight, she would say, “No, you arent allowed too…Your beautiful just the way you are.” even if i was 50 lbs overweight.

This isn’t true, my best friends had an eating disorder and it’s beacuse she was getting bullied everywhere she went about being fat! She wasn’t fat but she wasn’t skinny, all her friends tried to ...See more tell her but she wouldn’t eat because of the bullying, she was never at school and always at the doctors because she got so I’ll, eating disorders are serious and if you don’t have anything fair to say then just shut up

Just exercise regulary and try to cut out snacks, never skip meals or stop eating because it won’t help, if you really want to loose it quIckky then just exercise at much as you can ...See more and drink lots of water xx good luck
