    hi, im 13, weigh 190lbs, and am 5ft 7′. i have a big build but i know i am overweight, im determined to lose weight, but i lack any and all motivation, are there any ... See more ways that i can keep myself motivated enough to continue?

      1- drink ATLEAST 10-12 glasses of water per day i know its a lot more than those weight loss people tell you but water will fill you up seriously this is the most important!! without this rule you wont be able to lose any weight

      2- make a playlist of your favorite upbeat songs and dance like crazy! :D it’ll definitely work!! if you want to lose arm fat then you should move your arms more, for leg fat you should jump around to songs and to flatten your stomach and get abs you should belly dance. I know… it sounds weird… but you really should! I flattened my stomach in a week and im trying to get abs in another three months by belly dancing to shakira songs like “la tortura” and stuff

      3- hula hoop!! it’s a really fun way to lose weight! i do it while watching TV for half an hour a day and it’s so easy and fun!it will mostly flatten your stomach and give you abs but it will make your core stronger and increase ur metabolism too

      4- sign up for a fun sport! Tennis requires a lot of agility, and it will help you lose a lot of leg fat and make your legs really strong. It will DEFINITELY tone your arms too!!!! soccer players have nice strong legs too. Once you get hooked on a sport you love, you will be motivated. Trust me, ive been playing tennis for a long time and im short and have overly muscular legs but it’s helped stay motivated thru everything else im doing

      5- HAVE FUN! If You Dont Have Fun it Wont Work
      ur a kid. i really dont we have that good of motivational skills to stick to an exercise routine because after a week you forget about it and give up. So have fun and heres my email; caronia99@yahoo.com

I made myself do it. You have to be your own boss and tell yourself “Don’t stop, You need to keep you going… Don’t be weak!” That’s how I motivate myself, but you have to find what works for you….. Also studies show that when you dress in clothes you consider cuter while working out, you actually work out better. So try some cute workout clothes to help with motivation.

Lose weight for you and when you look in the mirror tell the old you that you are moving on and breaking up! it sounds silly but maybe this will motivate you to stick with your goal. also weigh yourself one time every week, not everyday. We women change weight frequently at least 5lbs a day and we are 5 to 10lbs water weight. Best of luck and stay motivated. Try to go out for walks with a friend or take your dog out for a walk (try to do a few blocks and build up…make it a fast walk). Also any kind of cardio will help you lose weight all over and ease into cardio…it doesn’t matter if you took 20 minutes to run a mile or 7 minutes to run 1 mile, the point is that you did it. You can do this!!!!! keep your head up!

See more starving yourself and therefore your body is going into starvation mode and will hold on to as much fat as it can to survive. But then also the problem if you eat to much after that it will hold on to it for longer and increase your weight. This can be a hard cycle to get out of but you can do it! :) For 14 year old’s our daily intake (amount of calories) we can have is 1800 calories. I strongly suggest to have only 1200 calories or just over. But also if you eat less calories than this your body will again go into starvation mode. One EASY way to keep track of your daily calorie intake is an app that you can use on an Iphone, Ipod or Ipad which you can keep track of the foods you eat. It has every food with a bar code on it in the app so you can scan a packet and it will identify the food or you can also use the quick calorie add if you know how many calories are in it + you can search foods. This app is called ‘my fitness pal’ and i use it myself. I have been using it for about a week now and i have already lost 2 kg. I hope this has helped. :)

      Anonymous : Dont starve yourself!!! That’s probably the WORST way to try and lose weight. Make sure you eat, just don’t overeat and eat healthier stuff. It’s as simple as that. Drinking more water and eating more water fruit helps too!
