Anonymous : Hi, the only way for you to lose weight is if you help yourself. You’ve already taken the first step and now you just need to go little more. I am the same ... See more height as you, and just like you, I also wish to lose some weight. I’ve been on a food and body cleanse for almost three weeks now and have lost about 10 pounds. But understand, each persons body is different from another individuals, my results may not be the same as yours.
First off, I looked in my fridge and threw away all the things that I knew were bad for me. When I go to the market, I try to avoid going down the bread, chocolate, candy, chips, and drink isle. I start off straight in the fruit and vegetable section then go to the meat department. I look at the nutrition listing of foods that are already made so I’m conscious of what I’m putting into my body. If the number of carbohydrates is far higher than protein, I generally put it away. I’m not saying you shouldn’t eat candy, drink soda, sandwiches or anything like that. But just think about whether or not you’re actually hungry. Sometimes we want things just because they’re there and staring right at us.

It’s important to have 3 meals a day- breakfast, lunch and dinner. But also, to have a small snack. If you’re hungry and it’s not dinner or lunch time yet, munch of some veggies or grab an apple! It’ll fill you up, and it’s good for your body.

Remember not to eat quickly and put down your utensils between bites or as often as possible. It takes almost 30 mins until your body knows it’s actually full.

I hope this helps! And good luck! :)

Jessica : I’ve had weight problems too. I am also 5’3″. I weighed 160 for about two years until I got sick of it. Finally, last summer I told myself I was going to change. I lost ... See more 20 pounds in a month just by making my summer count. Whenever I wasn’t with friends, I was in my pool doing 20 laps. Then I would get out, do 50 jumping jacks, and then i’d do about 10 minutes of yoga that I found online. Then i’d go back and double what i had just done. I made sure to keep hudrated too! I also got a pretty good tan (but i made sure to wear sunscreen and such) I would make sure not to stay up too late unless I stayed at a friends or something. I would usually wake up around 8 in the morning. I would make toast with butter or eat a banana or two. I’d try to make sure to get grains in in the morning. I would usually eat peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and every few hours I would eat grapes and fruits. I tried to eat as little meat as possible and substitute it with beans or seeds. I didn’t eat fast food hardly at all. I would sy I probably ate about 1,000 calories a day. People say that’s bad because it’s not enough to help and you just gain the weight back, but here I am a year later and I still kept it off even after I started eating unhealthy again. I hope you see this so you can feel inspired! If not, I hope this helped someone.

Nash : Hey, I know I am replying late, but if you or anyone else reading this is eating healthy and exercising and still gaining weight rather quickly, then I would suggest getting your thyroid checked at ... See more the doctor’s, and while you are there get a yearly physical. You may have hypothyroidism or another endocrine issue. If you are healthy, then consider changing your diet and\or exercise plan to one that suits the needs of your body instead of a general diet. Good Luck!
