If you’re just not quite sure what I mean, keep reading! Here’s a list of 7 books and movies I can’t wait for…

Knuffle Bunny Tree by Mo Willems

Knuffle Bunny Tree by Mo Willems Release date: September 28, 2010
amazon.com
The first two books by Mo Willems featuring young Trixie and her plush Knuffle Bunny are favorites, so I have already pre-ordered the third book for my daughter! If you and your little one haven’t read any of them yet, make a quick trip to the library or the bookstore and get started! They’re completely charming and I’ve never met a child who didn’t love them… I can’t wait for Knuffle Bunny Free!

Enchanted 2

Release date: 2012 (tentative release date)
The first movie was so adorable, with such great characters, I was thrilled when I heard Disney was making a sequel! No details have been released, not even a tentative case, but I hope it follows the adventures of Giselle in New York!

The Hobbit

Release date: 2012 (tentative release date)
I loved the Lord of the Rings books, and thought the movie trilogy directed by Peter Jackson was brilliant. When I heard he had finally signed on to direct the Hobbit movie, I decided right away I had to see it… but details are being closely guarded, with no firm release date set.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo Books and Movies

Release date: December 21, 2011
I’ve read all three books in the amazing series by Stieg Larsson, and I’ve seen the first movie, filmed in Sweden, and it was fantastic. But we in America can’t be upstaged, so we’re shooting a film of the first book, too, rumored to star Daniel Craig as Mikael Blomkvist, the disgraced journalist hired to investigate the disappearance of a young heiress. There’s also rumored to be a fourth book, found on Larsson’s laptop after his sudden death in 2004…

X-Men Origins: Magneto

Release date: 2012 (tentative release date)
Doesn’t it seem like everything I’m excited about is coming out, possibly, in 2012? I thought the first movies in this series were wonderful, and I loved that the last movie explained Wolverine’s past… now they’re making a movie that will give Magneto’s back story. I hope it shows more of his childhood, expanding on the little snippet we saw at the beginning of the first X-Men movie…

The Next Episode of This American Life on TV or the Radio

The Next Episode of This American Life on TV or the Radio Release date: Every weekend, check thislife.org for schedule
weblogs.variety.com
This is far and away my favorite radio show, and I’m always checking their website to find out when the next new episode will air. The idea of the show is simple — to tell three stories on the same theme each week — and the storytelling is brilliant. There were rumors of a movie, but I still haven’t heard anything definite…

Happy Potter and the Deathly Hallows Movie

Release date: November 2010 (part 1), July 2011 (part 2)
From the time the first Happy Potter book was released XX years ago, the series of books and movies has been a worldwide phenomenon, wildly popular among girls and boys, young and old alike. As the books have progressed, and Harry and his friends have gotten older, the books have become more complex and much darker… and the last movie, in two parts, is set to be released this fall and next summer. I’ve been a big fan of the series since the beginning, and I can’t wait to see the last movie!

Those are just a few of the books and movies I can’t wait for… I can’t believe how many of them are slated for release in 2012! That seems so far away! Are you excited about any of these releases, or is there something else you’ve heard about that you can’t wait for? Please let me know!

I am also waiting for Harry and X-Men.

Sorry to say that if there is a fourth script made by Stieg Larson it is not going to be published. There was a lot of talk about it in the media after he died, but the family has now comfirmed that no new book will be published. America might make a movie of the books as well, but I pitty the poor girl who has to fill the shoes of Naomi Rapace (the role of Lisbet Salander)!

Just so you know, it's Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, not Hollows. Sorry to sound like Hermione. :P

I'm with you on Harry Potter! I am so so excited for both movies :) And I should probably read "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" soon. It's been getting a lot of hype. But after my exams :(

i soooooo love the girl with the dragon tatoo!! i have seen the trailer of the movie, but haven't watch it due to lack of time... the book had me in the border of my seat and i just have to read the rest of the books. i also agree with harry potter, i read it the first time when i was 11 and now the movies will end at my 21 birthday... good way to get into official adulthood!!
